E I E I E I O 0 Posted January 28, 2006 what would your ideal line up be come the end of the transfer window? Mine would be as follows: Green(would sell if possible)Hughes (Capt) Davenport Shacks/Doc DruryHalford Safri Hucks Koumas Earnshaw Campbell/TrundleSubs: Mcveigh, Mckenzie, Jarvis(both) Robinson.Feel this team could beat most in the league and would''nt costa all that much Davenport (1-1.5Mil) Koumas (1.5 Mil) Earnshaw (2.5 Mil) Campbell (500,000ish) Total 6 Million. I feel we could then generate a fair bit from the sale of a few players such as Etuhu £5, Charlton £5, Colin £10 and Louis Jean £5. This would mean a total outlay of £5,999,975 so not that bad. Considering we would get 25Million on promotion.

KanYe West 0 Posted January 29, 2006 ZippersLeftFoot, you have put ''cameron'' on the bench. Is this Cameron Jerome of Cardiff or Colin Cameron of Wolves?[*-)]

ZLF 274 Posted January 29, 2006 I did think about doing the same Fernano but then thought Worthy would even mess that little lot up!Yup - that would be Cameron Jerome on the bench - he has potential just not at £3.5m right now
Luke O Donoughoe 0 Posted January 29, 2006
Petr Cech Gary Neville Ashley Cole John Terry Jamie Carragher Claude Makelele Michael Essien Frank Lampard Steven Gerrard Wayne Rooney Thierry Henry
I noticed you put Gary Neville in there, I don''t think that he should ever play for England in the first place, he is the most arrogant football player ever to play for England, I would rather have Rio Ferdinand over him any day of the week, I take it that you are playing 4 in central midfield or a diamond formation, because with them midfielders there is no width whatsoever. take out Essien and Makelele and put in Robben and Ronaldo. I even read a conspiracy theory todaythat half of Ashton''s fee was loaned by a mysterious benefactor on thepreviso that half future profit from sale be given to said benifactor. After the cut to Crewe and Ashton, paying Crewe what we owed fromoriginal purchase, the likelihood the board will invest all but proffitfrom sale into other areas etc. I wouldn''t be surprised if the reasonWorthy said we couldn''t afford £3m for Earnshaw is that he hasn''t beengiven £3m to spend. The idea of the thread though is to name what would be your realistically ideal! transfer scenario. Something that would get you excited come the derby game. I fear that you may be right about the money though. Did''nt Neil Adams say that we would be able to bring in 3 or 4 proven names if Ashton went? Not seen one yet! My team includes 4 signings so according to him is realistic.

Therefore:Ideal and borderline plausible would be:-------------Green------------Hughes---Doc---Shacks---DruryHalford---Etuhu---Safri---Hucks------Jerome---McVeigh------Yes I am still giving Etuhu a chance, although my patience is wearingthin, if he can be made to work as hard as Hughes he could beuber-dangerous. He offers something different in the middle with hissize. Plus Robinson is still crocked.
