I was sat on the cinder track that went round the pitch somwhere in that first picture.

All the kids got moved there so they could see.

I was 10 at the time and my father was somewhere in the Barclay stand.

Got no idea how we found each other after the game but we must have done somehow

I'm afraid that for some of us, this kind of thing is going to happen more regularly. Its difficult to explain to younger people tha tthese people were stars in our era, and no matter that modern day players may be better, it doesn't diminish the fact that these chaps were stars of that era.

Todays Norwich team might well be better than MaCaulays but Bly Bly Babes will live in the memory till I shuffle off.
