king of latvia 0 Posted October 31, 2005 how many of you on here asked the board to ashton when really that money should of been soent on a midfielder and a defender.and thats what most of you are asking for know.it seems that the worthy and the board what ever they do cant do right. StevenageFan 0 Posted October 31, 2005 King - if we didn''t have Ashton we would have Thorne, McKenzie (inj.), McVeigh and Henderson, yes I would definitely be moaning about that because the only proven goal scorer hasn''t even made the starting 11 yet has he?The fact is Worthy shipped out 10 players and only brought in 6, that is the problem. Of those 10, 5 of them played in Midfield for us last season and of the 6 only 3 are midfielders, which presents another problem.Yes if he had bought a great midfielder instead of Ashton the midfield would be better, but it would still be 2 less than last season and that would leave our striker force pretty thin too.
