Hardhouse44 261 Posted May 18, 2015 Just baffled by this whole attitude Ipswich fans have towards the play off matches. Some saying how bad we were, the manager even saying the penalty and red card changed things. Let not forget that the ball was going in the net to put us 1 nil up against 11 men before they player decided to cheat. They we''ve got the you were crap first half brigade. Yes we were but they still never looked like scoring. They super 27 goal a season man has never looked like ever scoring in any of the matches were play against them this season.Ipswich came with a game plan similar to that which Middlesbrough used against Brentford. Harry the opposition close them down stifle their passing game. Trouble is Ipswich never had the quality to do anything about scoring at the other end while doing the harring and pressing. Can''t keep that up for a potential 120 minutes. Yes the got a goal. Another less than glorious Ruddy moment in a season littered with them but come on Ipswich. You football style is awful. A moral victory for football was achieved this weekend. Not hoofball.
Buh 0 Posted May 18, 2015 I tell you what they have got them bumpkins proper brainwashed down south haven''t they? It''s all victimisation and financial fair play and "the 110k team" BSthis is a set of fans that came to us a few years ago and waved £20 notes at us! A club racked in debt owned by a man that refuses to invest and is using the club.building for 10 plus years in the same league to finally good their way to the playoffs and what do they do? They bottle it. In true ipswich style they bottle it. And out come the excuses. Here''s some bold predictions for you:The better players in their squad, sold. They will struggle next year and they will turn on the club. This was ipswich'' one chance and they bottled it. can see relegation prospects for them next year.Where''s your £20 notes now? Buh 0 Posted May 18, 2015 And the only reason we were crap first half is because they were ruining the game. It was an obvious gameplan and it was never going to work for 90 minutes. We kicked off in the second half. Played actual football and they couldn''t cope. They never looked remotely in it
Hardhouse44 261 Posted May 18, 2015 Exactly. This poor little Ipswich thing. And if we don''t hammer them 10-nil they''ve gained some sort of moral victory makes them look pathetic. We''ve got to bow our head to their history of success but unless we win the champions league the won''t admit the were light years ahead of them as a football club and a business. Buh 0 Posted May 18, 2015 They simply won''t admit that they have bottled and generally ballsed up AT LEAST The last 20 years at their football clubA club in terminal decline
Barclay seats 4849 the 3rd 0 Posted May 18, 2015 Many of them on twatted saying that Redmond was s*it !!!They must have missed him tearing them a new one in the 2nd half !! 😂😂😂😂
Crafty Canary 495 Posted May 18, 2015 Given the level of intelligence displayed on the TW@T board there is likely to be a lot of headteachers sacked by Nicky Morgan in the years ahead.
BroadstairsR 2,168 Posted May 18, 2015 I read TWTD a lot and so frequently the opinion was that the first goal was vital, even to the extent that it would dictate the result.Well, we got that first goal, albeit from the spot because their star defender lost his brain and decided to handle the ball on the line, presumably in the vain hope that we would miss the penalty. We didn''t .... first goal. They have also convinced themselves that they were the better team in the first half, whereas there was no best team in that forty five minutes of an apology to football and brought about by their destroying tactics. They got what they deserved. Now the mantra is of them to a man being ''proud to be an ITFC supporter, proud of our great club.'' Eh! Proud of the non-footballing tactics they employed to creep into the play-offs.They now, to a man, expect to romp the league next season, impervious of the fact that they may lose some of their better players in the summer and that Evans will pocket most of the proceeds to pay off some of that monstrous debt.I wish City 1st would return as he is far better at destroying the paupers with his words than are the rest of us. a1canary 0 Posted May 18, 2015 There was also a laughable post on their the other day by some fool seriously asking the question "why are we in so much debt?"What was all the more unbelievable is that the answer came back that it was all down to player contracts from the early 2000s in the PL (Finidi George etc). Yes, that put them in debt and led to administration, but since Evans took over AFTER that, their debts have gone from £32m to £85m. Mostly due to years of pitiful attendances failing to cover their wage bill and making big losses year after year. They have literally been brainwashed in to thinking and believing that Marcus Evans has been good for them. Quite astonishing. It''s like some kind of social experiment!!
