1.
Would you say there is more/less fan text today? It just seems as though he is far more concerned with going through the fan comments, and less concerned with providing insightful analysis of the game. But hopefully im not being too harsh.
I''d say today is pretty typical sadly.
2.
Paddy is the best imho but i think they all do a great job[Y]
Maybe I''m being a tad harsh, but today is a good example... I wish they''d cut the banter and actually tell us what''s going on at the game.... a la Paddy!!!
3. Anyone else compeltely underwhelmed with the The Pink Un text commentary lately?  It completely lacks any pace, excitement or emotion, with big gaps between updates and way too much banter from us fans.  It leaves me completely cold and find myself reverting the Beeb. Anyone know the name of that guy who does the commentary very occasionally (Paddy something possibly?) who gives constant updates every few seconds abouts who''s just kicked, headed, touched the ball.... It''s so much more insightful when he does the commentary and creates a real sense of excitement.  God knows why he''s not doing it every week.  It''s a different class when he does it.
4. I''ve seen City 6/7 times this season and Hughes has featured in each game and has looked like one of our best players.  At Elland Road in particular he was (IMO) man of the match.  He looked good again when Leeds visited FCR and has been very effective at changing the pattern of play when Lambert has thrown him on midway through the 2nd half as he seems to have of late.  I think Hughes is made for the Championship where tackles aren''t flying in quite as ferotiously and when he has time and space to play the ball.  Whoever it was who said Hughes wont be hear past the end of the season is quite wrong!! I reckon Lambert''s got big plans for Hughes and is simply using him tactically in this division.  As for him not having a good game on Friday, did anyone?
5. It''s official.  Simon Grayson is a Norwich fan.  First he giveth Hoolihan.  Then he takes Leeds into oblivion.  Simon, you''re a gent and welcome at CR anytime.
6. I agree that it feels counter intuitive to think the outcome of a match involving our great club could be rigged.  But if you could consider that some matches somewhere in the world are allegedly fixed, then some of the random decisions made last night do make you wonder.  The fact it was one of the few matches televised yesterday also makes you wonder.
7.

Cock up, or in this case incompetance, is nearly always more likely than conspiracy but even if something has gone on I don''t see why Tranmere would be involved. After all they had plenty of incentive to win already and if someone, betting syndicate?, had wanted to fix the result then all they had to do was provide a little assistance. No need for Tranmere to know or do anything other than accept the decisions that came their way. As for the original post I agree with nearly all of that except for 2nd pen - the Tranmere forward may have ''made sure'' but any keeper going to ground at a forward''s feet like that without getting anywhere near the ball is asking for exactly what he got - very poor piece of goalkeeping by Forster
were it purely ''incompetence'' I could ''almost'' accept that. But nobody can tell me that the circumstances surrounding the third goal in particular was purely down to that, when two officials have a clear view. Something sinister went on last night and I would implore people to not be so naiive into thinking that it was just ''incompetence''
I must admit, when I first read your posts about match fixing earlier today, I thought you were being a little dramatic.  But the more I think about it, the more conceivable it seems it could be. Televised match; top versus bottom (or there abouts); match beamed live all over the world; 2 penalities and a sending off in the first 10 minutes; selective handball decisions, plus any number of other dubious refereeing decisions; manager and his right hand man both sent to the stands; all of which result in the most unlikely of score lines.  When you look at it like that, it does have a funny smell about it.
8.
How do we blame Lappin gor this one?
I didn''t!
9.
Can we cut all this crap with ''scapegoats''?? As soon as someone criticises a player that player instantly becomes ''this week''s scapegoat''. If a player is crap in somebody''s opinion they have the right to state that. Some of us need to realise we aren''t the perfect footballing side, and that some of the players we have are being deployed purely as passengers. Rant over, sorry. (Family friendly version)
I agree. However, i bet that half the people chasing Doc out of town today are the same fans who praised him for his MOM performances against Leeds & Swindon, yet were slaggin him off at any given opportunity before that.  I''ve got not problem with criticising players, but I''d like some perspective.  My particular hobby horse is Lappin but I work on the basis that Lambert''s played him every game since he''s come here so I assume he can''t be the lazy, soft tackling pansy that I take him to be!!! [:P]
10. I generally agree Canary James, although think you''re assessment of the 3rd goal is harsh.  We can hardly accuse the lads of lack of a endeavour or commitment this season, so given the lunacy of what went on last night, I think we can allow the lads some latitude.  Overall, I think the players atttitude was fantastic. I think the state of the pitch was another factor - not an excuse, but the kind of playing surface that could spring an upset.
11. Class response from Lambert.  By not bemoaning the decisions and remaining relatively upbeat, he was able to overtly criticise the officials.  Very clever.  Fergie & Wenger could learn a lot from this guy.  I''m convinced he''s going to the very top.... hopefully taking us with him. Listening to Les Parry''s post match interview says it all: "the 3rd goal was unfortunate.... it looked like a handball.... I don''t know what he gave the first penalty for...."
12. Can someone PM me too please?? The pub I went to earlier to make sure they were showing it have suddenly decided to show the rugby.  So frustrated!!!!!
13. Thanks for that mate - sounds like a good night.  Prefer to stay local if we find anywhere showing the match, but if not, will jump on the train into town!
14. Anyone watching the game later or know any pubs showing the match (ideally with the sound turned up!!!)
