Centreback and plays for FK Most in the Czech Republic. Has been linked with a move to the uk and we are named as one of the clubs showing an interest in him. http://lesrosbifs.wordpress.com/2009/06/10/les-rosbifs-update-webster-to-move-to-motherwell-leeds-united-or-norwich-city/

Gow was very good when played as a forward and got 2 man of the match awards in this position. When he was moved on the wing, he didn''t do to well. So as a forward, he''s very good. But as a winger, no thanks!

Even players with a tranfer fee will want a signing fee. Fact is, free agents are still the cheapest option. Unless you play your youth players that is! -

Crikey!!! There''s some dumb dumb''s on here tonight!! I know players need paying wages. When i said free, i meant free transfer, so we don''t have to pay a transfer fee! Have you got it now? As we don''t have hardly any money, free transfers is the way we have to go. Gunn has already said we need quite a few players because we have such a small squad right now. -
New signing tomorrow

ncfcnews you are full of sh*t! So what you are saying now is that Murty suddenly decided this morning not to sign for us and to stay at Reading in a coaching role???? What a load of rubbish!! -
its all becoming too predictable. We will end up with Byfield, its so obvious.
We probably will end of with Byfield. But were will all the goals come from?? Not Byfield or Cureton. Both have crap recent scoring records! -

Gunn will come out complaining in a few weeks saying we can''t afford this player and can''t afford that player! Well Mr Gunn, Woodwards, Llera and Nelson were bloody FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
What's REALLY worrying me....

Scunthorpe now after Nelson from Hartlepool. So with Woodwards signing for MK dons and Llera in talks with Charlton, thats 3 of our transfer targets going elsewhere! -

And now i''ve just seen this: Scunthorpe United are reported to have entered the race to sign Hartlepool United defender Michael Nelson Championship club or League 1 club? Not a hard choice is it? -

This just really annoys me, because they wouldn''t of cost the club a penny in transfer fee''s. Both highly rated players. I can only guess Mk dons and Charlton offered better wages? -
On our transfer targets. Both these players would of been free! Woodwards from crewe has now signed for the MK dons and now Llera is in talks with Charlton. How many times does this happen to us? We take our time over signing players and we lose them to other teams in the same division. Wake up Gunn! We only have half a bloody team!!

The 3 teams promoted from League One last season.

We have no one at the club right now capable of scoring 20+ goals a season. Cureton is crap and out of form. Cody Mcdonald is to inexperienced to score 20+ goals. Grant Holt and Andy Bishop would be a great partership and would get close to scoring 40 goals between them. -
Administration very close now!
Quote from Crook re Bosnich We won''t know our transfer budget for a while and there''s a few players in the mix, but all options are open,” Crook told the Daily Telegraph in Sydney. We wont know for a while that does not sound good at all
Exactly what i was thinking. Unless the player is a free agent, how can we sign anybody, if the Manager has no idea if we have any money or know what transfer budget he has! Seems things are in a right shambles behind the scenes! -
I''ll repeat what I said on the 497 previous threads about exactly the same subject. If this were any other 33/34 year old left winger, injury prone as Huckerby is you would all be up in arms. Even Huckerby himself has said he may not be fit enough for the english game again - but then you misty eyed individuals have ignored that.I want a team built that can develop into the future, and we have enough questionable elements of our past at this club as it is.If he wants to come back, bring him back to work with the youth team.
You can repeat this as many times as you like TheMarshmallowMonkey! No one agree''s with you! So shut the f*** up!
-
He has 5 months left on his contract. Thats 20 weeks wages. It''s reported(can''t confirm this) that Hucks is on 3k a week. So that works out at just 60k to buy out his contract. I''m sure the club can afford 60k to bring Hucks back and to bring a bit of good feeling back to the club that it desperately needs!
-
I will have to agree. I think Hucks has got at least another 2 years in him. Come on Hucks, get out of your current contract and come home now! We need you now, more than ever!
-
I have a feeling that Byfield will be joining us. But Gunn''s crazy if he thinks Darren Byfield will score lots of goals to get us promoted. Byfield has found scoring goals very hard to come by, and playing him alongside Cureton would be a disaster. To get promoted, you need 2 strikers who can score 20+ goals each a season. Just where exactly are the goals going to come from?? Grant Holt and Andy Bishop are perfect for the cause but Bishop is thinking over a move to Carlisle united.

Looking through the list...there''s some very good players amongst the un-known kids. Jonathan Douglas from Leeds Danny Graham from Carlisle Alan Navarro from MK Dons Peter Clarke from Southend Nick Chadwick from Shrewsbury Ryan France - Hull Jason Price - Doncaster Are these the sorts of players you would be pleased with / expect us to be signing for league one? however - there''s som names not there, Lee Croft for example, or the Spanish defender we''re linked with from Dons. It''s clearly not definitive...
Danny Graham is the only player I would have from that list, talk about fans having a lack of ambition. Been playing too much football manager or something? What exactly is ''very good'' about Nick Chadwick when we have people like Leon McKenzie available? Good grief, with unambitous fans like you, we will be supported into league two. Leon McKenzie has been out with a bad injury. That''s why Coventry are delaying him another contract.
Clever bloke, he won and now through to the final!
