  1. Alnwick- 6 ................Did little wrong, no chance with either goal  kicing couldve been betterDrury - 4..............Needs to leave for the sake of Norwich and his own career.  Looks a shadow of his former selfDoherty-2...........Time for him to leave im afraid.  No pace, no positional awareness, got beaten in the air countless times.  Certainly not the leader our team needs  Hads on hips, head down after both goals, couldnt see him organising things eitherAskou-4.............Did ok in the air, but again not quick and bullied by their front two on occasions  Will get better imho, but needs to not play next to DohertySpillane-4.................few decent interchanges down the right, but in general poor.Hoolahan (first 80 minutes-3, last ten minutes 6)......Poor to start  Gave the ball away and dwelled on it too often, and did not want to stick his foot in where it could get hurt.  At 2-0 down after 80 minutes, came into the game and started to orchestrate our attack  Must improve, but must stay, is clearly going to be at the centre of all that is goo about our creative play this seasonGIll-2  Might as well of not played tonightTudor-Jones-3  Looks lost in the midfield batlle, gets beaten in the air too much for someone his size  and didnt make his presence felt Whaley-3  Poor  Looked bright on occassions, but no end product what-so-everHolt-5   Poor service, but never stopped trying  Is not the target man we neeed thoughCody-5  Bright, but raw.  Clearly has talent, but more reseerve games needed for meMartin-5 Did ok but no real impactHughes-6  Got it down and kept it well  needs to start Fans at 0-0   10   excellent, good atmosphere, good banter with the home fans and not too many dissenting tonesFans at 1-0 onwards     0   Silence  (i was sat in the brentford end)  we couldnt hear a peep from the away end
  2. Can anyone give me three good reasons why Paul Jewell would want the Norwich Job?  He left Wigan for ''Stress reasons''.  He is hardly going to join a club with moaning, disgruntled supporters who are never happy five months later.  There is also very little money available here.  I for one am surprised he didnt get the Bolton job, however I do expect to see him at Leicester or Middlesbrough shortly. So for everyone blaming the board for not getting Jewell, stop dreaming and live in the real world, get together and BACK GLENN ROEDER     OTBC
  3. Of all the candidates linked with the job over the past few weeks, I think that barring Jewell the board have made the right decision. Roeder did once leed West Ham to seventh in the Premier league in a season where they started pretty averagely.  If he hadnt have got ill, who knows?  He may even have taken them further. Roeder did take Newcastle to Europe in his last job as well (all be it intertoto cup), a position that Allardyce will do well to attain this season with a much better squad. I personally back Roeder to get us out of trouble this season (If, as i''m sure there will be backing from the board)   ON THE BALL CITY
  4. I know a few of us are gonna inevitably be annoyed with the bored over the selling of Earnshaw, but it has happend now and its time to draw a line under it.  Here''s why. 1) If he hadn''t have had a get out clause in his contract, he wouldnt have signed for us in the first place. 2) If we''d have offered him a new contract without the clause, he would''ve turned it down no question because the clause was essential to getting him here in the first place 3)  It was still Earnshaws decision to sign for derby today, and who can begrudge him another shot at the premier league, he has after all (with exception to Dion and Hucks) carried this team for the best part of 2 seasons. Lets get some perspective here, we still have hucks, Brown, Martin, Dion, and now last seasons TOP SCORER Now lets hope the bored do as they say and give Grant the money to go spend on Eastwood and we''ll have one of the top front lines in the league. 5. If only our board were this ruthless.......................................
  6. I cant fault the work rate or commitment of my players.........
  7. Surprised at the lack of mentions for Alex Notman, and his cruelly ended career at carrow road
  8. Whilst not being sure of the exact details of a ''rolling'' contract, does this effectively mean the board could chose not to ''roll'' it over to next year? This would mean the board could axe worthington without having to pay him for sacking him. Not sure on this one, anyone clear it up?
