  1. I do think that we probably played a similar card with Buendia last season. Give us one more year and you can leave on terms that suit us both. Villa held on to Grealish but are now in a position where Spurs doesn’t suddenly seem the big step up from Villa that it may have done a year ago, especially when you consider Grealish also being a fan. I agree it wouldn’t have stopped players signing from us but a disgruntled Emi could have had knock on effects to the rest of the team. As is while I’m sad he’s gone he’s been quite the success story for us and something that surely makes us appealing to ambitious players. One of my fears with keeping Emi here would have been an underperforming team with a player wanting to leave could have turned sour very quickly. I say all of this with the assumption that Emi has been promised the move and was pushing for it, if that’s not the case then this whole post can be disregarded
  2. Except it hasn’t actually come up in this one has it? Unless you’ve misunderstood my posts (which could also be me wording them badly) to clarify, it’s not “you can’t complain” but “let’s look at ourselves as well as the club” a further point I’d make is that if/when the club do make more sustainable decisions we can’t then use that specifically against the club if we end up suffering in the league “we didn’t spend this” or “risk that” etc.
  3. Respectfully I disagree. You can buy 2/3 Fairphones for the price of the latest IPhone (disclosure - I’m sending this from an iPhone) Nike / Adidas products put together for a few quid are some of the most expensive sportswear out there. This could go on for all sorts of companies all over the world but we buy their products because they are the best and keep our eyes closed to the what really goes on. No doubt the club were doing the same with maximising revenue. My only really point is why stop with caring about only this? If you want Norwich to adhere to a higher standard than most of us seem to hold ourselves (me included) why stop there? https://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/news/end-child-poverty-reveals-norfolk-families-living-impoverished-8030876 If we are so offended about what we are seeing in bk8s videos. Why are we not equally outraged by the above whilst our football club pays individuals £20k+ A week? Why not make Norwich one of the first clubs to Impose an upper wage limit for footballers whilst poverty and suffering still exist in the world - let alone this close to home. That’s something I can’t see many getting behind… But by all means go the club, I ask only people consider themselves and their own moral compass when it comes to right and wrong. Whether it’s care of workers or the terrible treatment of animals used in testing cosmetics. We can all work ourselves into a frenzy over this but if most of us are being honest I don’t think we can come from a holier-than-thou position, not really.
  4. Hi FeedTheWolf hope you don’t mind me continuing the conversation here. Whilst the club have slipped up. Could this be a good opportunity to create a better image and philosophy for this sort of thing going forward? You say you and your wife won’t be getting a shirt next season because of bk8. Would either of you have happily bought one made in a sweatshop for Adidas or Nike? Not trying to corner you, I own stuff from both brands. My point is only that perhaps we could use this to look not only at our club but also ourselves for creating a fairer and more sustainable future?
  5. Is that directly because of the sponsor? We would need to know how many would usually buy one to gauge any difference. I guess we’d need to know how it effects sales away from folk who use social media. I’d be curious to see the results and how the results from on here correlate to the real world.
  6. This will be seen as an absolute win for BK8. Betting companies have never cared about people, and have only toed the line to keep their existence safe and profits maximised in the long run.
