In the rotting remnants of Labour in Leicester, Vaz’s friends are falling apart having lost his protection. Whether it is quitting the party altogether or being suspended, as is the case with assistant Mayor Councillor Mustafa Malik, (pictured above wearing a red rosette). Here’s a YouTube video he went to the trouble of sharing with his Facebook friends with the comment “an eye opener video”. He had clearly watched it and thought it worth sharing, this was not an “accidental like”… It was just your average “the Jews control the banks and the media” video from David Duke, the former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard. Labour members are fans of Duke and he is a fan of Corbyn’s Labour Party, praising the election of Jeremy Corbyn to the Labour leadership as a sign that people were recognising “Zionist power” and “Jewish establishment power”. Telling listeners to his radio show n 2015 that Corbyn’s election was “really good kind of evolutionary thing, isn’t it, when people are beginning to recognise Zionist power and ultimately the Jewish establishment power in Britain and in the western world.” Labour have suspended Councillor Mustafa Malik pending an investigation…

She claimed that in 1996 – after four consecutive Tory election victories – she had “an NHS that was there for me.” Straight from the mouth of the Shadow Cabinet – the NHS is safe in Tory hands… 🙃 😀

Herman 👉 👉 👇 In scenes that can only remind you of May’s 2017 campaign, the Lib Dems’ campaign designed entirely around Jo Swinson is sinking like the titanic as voters slowly realise they don’t actually like her 😢 😀 It took a while for the public (and Guido) to notice the Lib Dum leader, but as the campaign has rolled on a majority of voters now do have an opinion on her – an unfavourable one. This may also help explain the Lib Dum’s polling fall from 18% at the start of the campaign to 15% today. For the record, and sorry to disappoint Carole and the rest of the conspiracy theorists, the leak of the direct messages which reveals Guido’s editor arranging to pay £10,000 in cash to Arron Banks (N.B. Carole pay to, not get paid by) was hardly secret. It was paid after losing a bet, made in front of half of SW1’s finest at a Spectator party, that Trump would not become president in 2016. It was a painful night, as he lost the same bet with Nigel Farage. Banks had arranged to have lunch to collect his winnings and he forgot. Which was irritating. The leaked DMs go as follows: PS “Where we having lunch?” AB “Hi there , I’m free most of Feb after the Washington trip .. Hertford Street!” PS “You forgot to put today in the diary didn’t you? Have a wedge of £50s here…” AB “What’s today!” PS “The day you said we would have lunch.” AB “Sorry then I’ve ****ed up.” PS “If you don’t want the £10k that’s fine with me….” AB “I’ll check diary and let’s agree a day in Feb . I’m in the office tomorrow . Next week by the way is going to be Huge! Some interesting stuff going on in Washington” When Banks later claimed publicly that the bet was unpaid it led to a testy exchange… PS “As you well know I have had your £10,000 sitting in the bloody safe for months. Really resent your implication.” AB “Believe it or I’m busy . Andy has tried repeatedly to get in touch – he will come and collect the cash .” PS “He has my number and not called. Send him round. You should point out on Twitter that you ****ed up, not me.” Andy Wigmore eventually picked up the winnings in April 2017 and rubbed it in a little. As the characteristically accurate tweet above, hidden in plain sight, demonstrated. No roubles were involved, Carole… The situation for other publications currently going through hacked DMs – of which their journalists were neither the sender or the recipient – is more complicated. There is no public interest defence for the hacking. There is no evidence of crimes – apart from the act of hacking. There is a lot of stuff that is embarrassing for politicians and journalists. If Labour were for leaving the EU on WTO terms, scrapping HS2 and refocusing part of the foreign aid budget on domestic priorities, I'd say yes to free base level broadband... They're not, in which case they/We can't afford the investment. And no, Broadband is not as vital as water and power, ffs.

Norfolk police have referred general election material being used by Labour election candidates to the Electorial Commission - because it includes chief constable Simon Bailey's photograph. Norfolk police have reported Labour election literature to the Electoral Commission because of the use of a photograph of chief constable Simon Bailey. Labour literature, a version of which is known to have been used by at least three Norfolk candidates - Norwich South candidate Clive Lewis, Norwich North candidate Karen Davis and Broadland candidate Jess Barnard - features a photograph and headline taken from the Eastern Daily Press website. Above a photograph of Mr Bailey is the Eastern Daily Press headline from October 2015 stating 'Chief constable warns cuts to Norfolk police could see fewer bobbies on the beat and detectives not sent to every burglary'. And Mr Bailey is unhappy that Labour has made use of it in campaigning. He said: "As a police officer you must be impartial. Policing is strictly non-party political and we carry out our duties without fear or favour. "I was therefore disappointed to see my words and photograph, originally published in local news media, used in political campaign material for a local candidate. "I'm acutely aware of the power of perception and therefore wish to publicly clarify I have no desire to promote any political view and in no way endorse such material." The force has referred the matter to the Electoral Commission. However, it is not yet clear which candidate's literature Norfolk police has been reported to the Electoral Commission, given it features in the election literature of at least three of the Labour Norfolk candidates. Norfolk police were not able to confirm which candidate's literature had been reported, at this time. Labour were contacted for comment.
