John 0 Posted April 20, 2013 At the risk of sounding out of touch, i was hoping someone could clarify the reason for Whittaker''s absense today? For the most part, his performance against Arsenal added a much needed steel and verve to the defence that has been missing since his injury, and the end of our 10 game unbeaten run. I''d be surprised to hear that it was a performance related question, and as such would be inclined to think i''ve missed some of the details on his latest fitness. AJ 1,219 Posted April 20, 2013 Garrido played okay today though. It''s a bit harsh on Whittaker, got injured at the wrong time really.R Martin has been playing well, and obviously Garrido is our only left sided defender in contention of starting so has a bit of precedence over Whittaker. Was good to see him back last week, I''m sure he''ll get a few more games in this season too.But if it ain''t broken, don''t fix it.Almost won against Arsenal, and won today. Onwards and upwards! Branston Pickle 3,657 Posted April 20, 2013 Whittaker is good, but does seem rather injury prone - hopefully he is getting it all out of the way in season 1 with us, and will have a much clearer spell next season
