Everyone can have an off day, and yesterday Snoddy had one He''s a very telented footballer but he seemed yesterday to be offering very little, certainly in a defensive  way. Whittaker was left exposed to good attackers down his wing, and he really needed someone to stop the menace of Baines in particular. Where was Snoddy?

He lacks a powerful and accurate shot, and has missed a few with his head, so we play him for two things - constructive play and defensive help. He is supposed to be good at corners and other set pieces as well, but even Lappin excels at this, and Lappin has a good shot, and can pass and cross.

Don''t worry, I''m not suggesting that we should fetch Lappin back from Cardiff. What I am suggesting is that Benno is worthy of a recall. He has pace and is excellent at tackling back. He may not have the dead ball skill of Snoddy, but he has pace and a powerful shot. Above all, he seems to have the stamina to last, whereas Snoddy gives the impression of being knackered well before the end of the game.

I think that Benno should be given a few games. If he is not so good as Snoddy at set pieces, one of the others could take them - Gariddo took the vital freekick from wide on the right, and Wes could surely deliver corners, if necessary. Alterntively we could move Pilks to the right wing, and consider Surman on the left.

I am not writing off Snoddy, because he is a skilfull member of our passing squad, but with two games coming this week, perhaps he should be rested for at least one.

He seemed to be struggling positionally yesterday as much as anything. He was tucking in too far, and was guilty of ball following instead of picking up his man a few times, especially in the first half. I think Bennett is a good player and could quite easily come in for Snodgrass or Pilkington and wouldn''t be overly upset about either (Pilks hasn''t been too brilliant recently).

Elliott Bennett would have been a good call for yesterdays match. He played Baines very well at Carrow Road.

However in fairness to Hoots it would have been a big call to change the team after recent results.

Snoddy was always going to struggle for pace against Baines but that does not mean he will not be effective in the next game.

Snodgrass has been under-performing for weeks. Whereas pilks had a decent game vs united and did so again yesterday, snodgrass looked back to his recent uninspiring form. Bennett certainly deserves a shot on the right.
