sangria 0 Posted November 7, 2012 The mother of one of the Hillsborough dead, Kevin Williams, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. We''d like to petition the government to bring her son''s inquest forward so that she can see justice for her son before she herself passes on. Could you sign the petition to try and bring it past 100,000 names, and thus force the issue to be raised in Parliament?Hillsborough victim''s mother seeks one last victory in her virtuous fight against a cover-uphttp://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/the-last-word-mums-dying-wish-shames-chelsea-stance-8280529.htmlMore details about the matterhttp://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=299178.msg11000344#msg11000344The e-petitionhttps://submissions.epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/40925
Thirsty Lizard 3,215 Posted November 8, 2012 Sangria - I''ve signed the petition and hope that Mrs Williams gets her last wish.I read the Independent article and it is one of the worst and most vile pieces of so called journalism I''ve ever had the misfortune to read. sangria 0 Posted November 8, 2012 Thanks for that. Her son was one of those whose death was ruled incorrectly due to the 3:15pm cut off point imposed by the coroner, which has since been overruled by the Hillsborough Independent Panel. The HIP said that up to 41 of those ruled as beyond help by the original coroner should not have been ruled as such. While procedures are underway to get the original rulings quashed and new assessments made in the light of the HIP''s report, it takes time, which Anne Williams doesn''t have much of. While the Attorney-General isn''t inclined to hurry things along, hopefully getting this raised in Parliament will push things along so that Anne can see justice for her son while she''s still around.
