Mr Brownstone 0 Posted April 10, 2012 So, I was listening to ''Arry''s post match comments, where he dropped in that Parker was unavailable. It got me thinking as to who we had unavailable because of injury, ineligability, fatigue or just players that didn''t figure for tactical reasons. It''s a testament to the squad that Lambert and Culverhouse have assembled that completely disregarding the starting 11 from yesterday we could still put out a team capable of taking points from the majority of teams in this division, including arguably our 1st choice back 4 up until the arrival of Ryan Bennett: Rudd/Steer Naughton Ayala Whitbread Tierney Fox Crofts Surman Hoolahan Morison Vaughan/Jackson It''s truly incredible just how far we''ve come in such a short space of time, it''s nothing short of miraculous, and we ain''t done yet. I hear a lot of people talking about second season syndrome and how we''ll find it tougher next year. I disagree completely. Knowing what to expect works both ways, I guarantee that if we played the 1st 10 games from this season again we wouldn''t concede all those penalties and I bet we''d grab a load more points too. I genuinely don''t think that opposing managers will actually know what to expect either, Lambert''s tactical flexibility will keep them guessing. I love it that, unlike our Welsh friends, we are completely unpredictable, even to us. With the experience we''ve gained this year, a young, talented squad and a fairly substantial transfer kitty for Lambert to spend in the summer we are in a great position to establish ourselves as a top half side and kick on towards Europe. Mr.Carrow 394 Posted April 10, 2012 Great post. One thing we were discussing after the wonderful spectacle yesterday was whether (like the old days...) we`d lose any of our best players at the end of the season, and we decided it was highly unlikely. The only vague possibility we could come up with was Ruddy. So we have a large,successful,talented-but-improving squad which will largely stick together and be strengthened over the summer- happy, happy days!
