What chances a top 4 bid for Sessegnon?

Recommended Posts

This guy is on fire, absolutely frightening v Chelsea. O''Neil has moved him up another 2 gears and I won''t fancy facing him in a couple of weeks. Sunderland won''t want to lose him but if Man U come in for him... Let''s hope

Surely the man to buy at the moment is Demba Ba.

Strong, pacey and is proving to be a brilliant and lethal finisher.

But GJP, he has dodgy knees. Its why Stoke didn''t buy him, and I believe he failed a medical at least one other club because of it. And while he''s stayed injury free/fit so far for Newcastle, it seems like its a case of when rather than if. Newcastle aren''t going to sell him on the cheap, but his release clause is rumoured to be pretty low (some suggestions its lower than then £10 million quoted a couple of weeks ago). Only really Chelsea or Man.C could perhaps afford £10 million on a player who get easily get crocked and rendered useless for quite a while, Man.U, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool probably need to spend their available funds a little more wisely.

Sessegnon sometimes seems like one of the best players around, but then nothing. Again is a player who at least from the outside seems like a very much hit or miss kind of player worth the gamble. No idea how much he cost Sunderland, but unless he wants to force a move away, i''m guessing he wouldn''t be particularly cheap either.

I think this transfer window won''t see too much activity. Surely the best time to buy players is nearer the beginning? So they get an extra game or two this seasons, but there has been so little activity thus far. QPR will probably bring in a few players, maybe slightly better quality now they have a ''top'' manager.

Yeah there is that thing about his knees but for his goal return he will surely be worth a gamble.

James Vaughan has bad knees and so does Andy Carroll but people were still prepared to sign them for good money. And obviously Newcastle themselves took a chance on Ba which has paid off big time.

So I''m not sure if the knees will deter many clubs.
