Should we or shouldn't we

Recommended Posts

We are in a good position league wise, better than some of us expected, but the question is, should we expect PL and the board to use this opportunity to bring in another one or two before the deadline closes to further enhance our squad depth and quality?

We have been in similar situations in the past over the years and when we thought everything was rosy only to fail at the next hurdle.

Rightly or wrongly I am of the opinion we strike while the iron is hot, to further enhance our league position ans consolidate.

Well should we or shouldn''t we that''s the question?

We should only bring people in if we get the right players for the right price (obviously) and January is not normally the time to do that, I say we look for a good loan to fill Ritchie''s berth and then go with what we have.

As Lambert has said many times, theres no point bring in players for the sake of bringing players in. If we can find players that are hungry enough, and want to play for the club and don''t demand ridiculous wages then yes, get them in.

Bringing in the wrong players could disrupt the squad morale and togetherness which ultimately could lead to our Premier League demise, it''s a fine balance.

In terms of attracting better-quality players, I think we’ve reached a ‘tipping point’; in addition to the old adage ‘Norwich – a really nice place to live and play your football’, this season we have continued to demonstrate we don’t just play – we also win a decent amount of league points too!

Providing we continue in this vein until the end of the season, more players will view Norwich City as a good career move. That’s the time to pick and choose who we might want to add – and hopefully get some early (and good value) business completed.

In the meantime, one decent loan signing might be beneficial – but with Elliott Ward and James Vaughan returning surely most of us are happy with what we’ve got in place right now?
