Feel The Force 0 Posted December 28, 2011 He''s barely played since his error prone starts at the beginning of the season. I feel really sorry for the guy but if he''s done his ham string it''s going to be a while before he''s back. Can we cancel his loan or would we loose money on the loan fee? Old Shuck 291 Posted December 28, 2011 I think we''re committed-the deal works both ways, the parent club can''t recall the player for the duration of the loan, but neither can the club the player has joined cut their losses and return him. If De Laet has a long term injury then Man Utd could, at their discretion, recall him-even so, we''d still be contracted to pay whatever percantage of his wages we are paying.Likewise if he did go back or can''t play again, we can''t get another Prem player on loan. Two is the limit, regardless of how many they play or if they are out through injury. Whether or not we can get another loanee in next month for three months (ie) short term, is unclear. People are arguing that we can, others that we can''t and both are showing excerpts from the Prem League rules and regulations to highlight their point-so the waters are muddied here! It would be nice to know, once and for all, if our loan options for the rest of the season are still open to us in some form or whether they have been used up, period.
