lake district canary 0 Posted December 10, 2011 Good game in prospect! Can''t wait to see if the Canaries can stuff the Magpies. Magpies = black and white pests and according to wikipedia are - one of the few animal species known to be able to recognize itself in a mirror!! They always did fancy themselves!Canaries = Spirited smaller bird and according to wikipedia - ''popular for their voice'' Lets hear those voices this afternoon!! Norfolk Mustard 106 Posted December 10, 2011 When I moved up North of Manchester, I returned to Norwich for a week with my family. When I returned I found stuff all over the place; papers, boxes, lids etc. and initially thought we’d been burgled. There were also blackcurrant stains around the surfaces & down the walls. My wife went upstairs and screamed. Sitting on the bathroom windowsill was the perpetrator; a magpie! They look huge in a confined space like a bathroom – and it took me ages to get rid of that sh****-arsed feathery thing. I finally managed it by opening the top-hinged upstairs hall window to allow the bird to perch there – and then threw a rolled-up towel at it to knock it outside.
