Rich T The Biscuit 562 Posted February 10, 2011 Funny what useful pieces of trivia your parents keep from!!Just been looking through the pinkun magic moments magazine with my son when my mother informs men that her dad was one of the 2 men that presented it to Norwich City when they removed it from an old steam train.Useless piece if trivia for you lot bit all of a sudden I feel even prouder to be a canary. Harry 0 Posted February 10, 2011 It came off a LNER (London North Eastern Railway) Locomotive No.2859 called Norwich City. This was a B17/4 Sandringham class 4-6-0 built in Darlington in June 1936 and served until it was taken out of service in March 1960. The nameplate was then presented to Norwich City Football Club.
