Alex11ncfc 0 Posted May 13, 2010 The ref who deflected the ball perfectly to Mulryne, assist of the season and gave as a good away win, against Reading (I think)
chicken 0 Posted May 14, 2010 Fleming, Hucks, Edworthy, Green or Francis. How Malky ever gets anywhere is beyond me. He was a good old fashioned stopper but it was Fleming who held the defence together as he was an intelligent player and new how to distribute the ball and bring it forward. One of our most unsung heroes of that time.Malky wasn''t a poor player, just what I call a bread and butter player. He was a defender and what he did well was to get in the way. What he lacked in terms of technical ability he made up for in the air and the wisedom of knowing when best to grapple a player to the ground if he had to - somewhere near the halfway line and not in or near your own box.But I think the five I named would be the hardest to replace because we have been struggling to find a replacement ever since. Therefore they would probably all walk into our team at the moment.
