Bobert 0 Posted March 17, 2010 Silly me but I bought my tickets without realising that it was a night match on Good Friday kick off 7.45 pm.Before sending the tickets back I thought I might have a go and book an hotel in Birkenhead. Only one hotel and that was fully booked however I have found an Italian Restaurant with nine ensuite rooms just outside the ground. (Luigi says ten steps away!).For any one looking it is www.veneziapizzeria.co.uk so it might save you a trip across the water to Liverpool or 4 hours driving back to Norwich in the dark. Bill 1,788 Posted March 17, 2010 Best bet is to check the travelodgeYou can often book a family room (2 big doubles) - for £19 if 3 weeks in advanceWe''ve put four in - Exeter away, that''s less than a fiver a head. They don''t give a shit how many kip in the room and they are big rooms. Get down friday night, last hour or so in the boozer, curry, then kip.Leisurely morning, early pub then game. Usually have to drive up to 30 mins in the morning but that''s no grief.Better than hauling all the way down on busy roads saturday with the possible aggro of roadworks/delays etc
