Morisons Prozac 0 Posted March 21, 2010 I think by playing a 4-4-1-1 formation we could play all 4 of these players without messing things about too much. We could play Holt as the big lone striker with Wes playing off him and then Macca and Martin on either wing.Thoughts?
GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 2,035 Posted March 21, 2010 Whilst I would like to see McNamee start, I don''t think it should be a the cost of playing 2 strikers. Holt and Martin wouldn''t have had 40+ goals between them tis season had Martin been playing out wide.
Jacko 0 Posted March 21, 2010 You can get away with playing all four of them against an average side in this league. Against good sides and in particular away from home it just isnt an option. Lambert has made the right call in the last 2 games in leaving out McNamee. Glad to see it has been rewarded with 4 points. I just think the lack of a genuine right winger means we cant really play a straight 4-4-2 effectively enough so the diamond remains the best option. Would play the same system and team against Leeds.
