......and Smith must score.

Pete Raven....... a career change beckons ?

Hi Pete

I noticed on the Pink Un video build-up to the big game tomorrow that you accompanied Chris Lakey to Paulton as his trusty camera man.

Bearing in mind the Bryan Gunn has just swapped management for mobiles will you be whacking in a CV to Anglia/BBC to cover all those zany '' real life '' stories we see on the regional news programmes ? Or are Hollywood blockbusters perhaps more appealing ?

What did you and Chris think of Winterfield Rd set-up? The people interviewed seemed very welcoming.

It looks like we''ve got the open end behind a goal and part down the side for our supporters. Could be quite cosy...The pitch looked in very good condition, but, like the new Wembley pitch it''ll probably cut up badly once play starts but it doesn''t look like the ploughed field I was expecting. The ground will be like a smaller version of Tamworth I''d imagine and I''m looking forward to it.

Probably best to take a brolly though...

Make sure it''s not the same type as Tangy''s or we could see a fight breaking out between the Norwich supporters.

I did indeed. All sports videos are filmed and edited by me - all of varying quality!

The set-up at the club, bearing in mind the level they play at, impressed us. The bar can hold 700 and Norwich fans will be welcome there on Saturday. Everyone we spoke to seemed more than pleased to see us. We went down a day early to film some exterior shots and the Paulton manager popped his head out the door and asked if we wanted to come in, do an interview and take a tour around the ground. Top bloke, as are all the staff at the club. The locals around the viallge were also more than happy to talk to us on film.

Norwich fans are in the open end behind the goal and a little way down either side of the pitch. There''s 99 seats (they were outside the ground when we were there) which will be in place down the left hand side of the pitch as you look at the goal the Norwich fans will be behind. These are for away fans on a first come first seated basis (although personally I''d prefer to stand).

The pitch is top-notch and if the weather holds then the Norwich City boys will have no cause to complain about it.

Thanks for the info Pete.

I wondered how those mysterious 99 seats fitted into the allocation.......presumably they must be the temporary stand that''s been mentioned.

It sounds as though it''s going to be a great day out down there.

I doubt it''s the same. The brolly I''m taking I haven''t had for long.........I found it under a seat at Carlisle.
Pete, is the pitch a decent size, as well as being in good condition?
Thanks Pete. As a ex-pat Paulton supporter I was worried the pitch might be a bit on the small side and bring us down to Norwich''s level...
