stockport in administration

Recommended Posts

Is anyone else finding this whole points deduction thing baffling. How come Southampton get their deduction next season and Stockport get it this season. A points deduction for stockport just like southampton means nothing for them so why are they not getting it next season. As usual just no consistency with this league and this points deduction rule is just a joke now.

seems they will be getting the deduction this year as long as "they come out of administration correctly"

what ever that means, was confirmed by the football league on their website. Seems harsh on southampton leeds luton and alike
Points are deducted next year ONLY IF the club is not already relegated. If you recall, had Saints got out of the bottom three the points would have been deducted to relegate them. Now they''re down anyway they lose them next year. In that way they suffer a real penalty, ie relegation or starting 10 points behind everyone else, rather than finishing 17th this year (the effect of the deduction) which would be pretty meaningless.
i believe all those went into administration when in the relegation zone, and all three didn''t go the correct way around going into/out of adminstration by basically trying to find loop-holes
