Beaker 0 Posted March 20, 2009 If pattison and forwardpass=nosebleed-ingham are not in favour and not going to be picked, who thinks croft CM is a good idea. i think itd be better than Carney Gow or Lappin. Gow could play right wing and just tell croft to "do a job" for one game.
rjwc22 0 Posted March 20, 2009 I hear what you are saying but think he is one of the few players capable of putting in the crosses that Mooney and Lee can feed off.Plus I want to see Lappin and maybe even Fozzy have another chance to redeem themselves before their contracts expire. Michael Bates 12 Posted March 20, 2009 Wow i am shocked. Personally theres two statements i totally disagree with.. One is that i can''t see in any way that Croft could be a decent let alone good central midfielder whatsoever. His touch would let him down badly. Another shock is how someone mentions him being one of the only to be able to provide the crossing foil for Mooney/Gow/Lee... Are you serious? His crossing ability imo is pretty abismal for a winger.. But for what i do admire and this is what makes him a worthy place in the team is his work rate and willingess to beat players. I think his mind makes up for the poor technical ability he has which helps us alot. As when we see crofty running mad it gives the team abit of a boost to get stuck in and grit it out. Which is what we need to do in these tough times near the bottom....

WeAreYellows49 0 Posted March 21, 2009 Apparently he''s injured, I now await conspiracy theories [:D]
Gingerpele 0 Posted March 21, 2009 hes not in thw squad, he must be leaving, i heard Man.u are after a replacement winger, after a deal for Ronaldo to join Norwich was agreed, i have a realiable source, (a Mr Ferguson to be precise :P) so there we have it :P
Michael Bates 12 Posted March 21, 2009 Looks like Gunn has a good idea... I hope it was tactical over injury decision... Away from home and look to tighten things up a little maybe.. Croft really isn''t the player everyone hypes him up to be... Also to mention your point of Croft playing in center midfield with Man City. I think you will find it was a Carling cup game for one... And he was a right winger in the game... Central midfielder got injured and they had used all their subs... Which lead them to shifting their midfield down to 3 in the middle... So to say he is a player who has played in the premiership as a central midfielder is a joke to be honest. Theres no point to prove on that!! A scrappy game and 0-0 is what i rekon we might see today. Could be totally different and a high scoring game but any points taken at St Andrews will be a delight :)
