Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted January 31, 2009 Firstly, we once again needed to be difficult to beat.Equal first, we needed to get back team and Club spirit.Three games, one win and two draws. It was almost an excellent start but for mistakes against the Saints. The main thing is: the players now have something to build upon after losing every week and getting lambasted by their single minded manager. In addition, little things like Huckerby back in the fold and an unhappy player allowed to go amongst other proper Norwich people coming back. Oh! And a fantastic atmosphere and no taking it out on the team after the Saints result which felt like a defeat.A good performance, even in the light of a defeat at Wolves, a centre half and Croft signing a new contract so we can get the benefit of a player we have brought on. These things would be really pleasing.....let''s wait and see.A manager doesn''t have to coach a team. He makes the final decisions based on the advice of others; he sets out the style of play and he sets the tone by example. In a way, Gunny is like a director of football.I think we are a long way off being able to predict survival; but Gunn has had a good start, not a great one, just good. The supporters have done themselves proud and the only people looking for negatives for the sake of it are the attention seeking doom-mongers on this message board who are generally sad individuals who thrive on conflict in order to boost their own lack of self worth. The Wolves game is a massive test for Gunny and the boys. They really owe us one and we will need big characters. This game will tell us a great deal about the new regime.
