Alan 0 Posted July 26, 2004 All the new defenders Norwich have bought or want to buy are over 30 as are three of the current defenders. If they prove good enough for next season I doubt they would be the one after, and bar Drury the whole defence would need to be replaced at once. Surely that can not be a good idea. blacko 0 Posted July 26, 2004 If it worked for Arsenal for years I do not see why experience is not the right thing to be going for at the moment, besides in a year or two we will have The Shack!

Malky and Flem are 32 going on 33. So why wouldn''t Primus still be up to it the year after next? There are plenty of good defenders going on into their thirties. Yes, we''d need some new players, but not all at once. Don''t forget we''ve got Shackell coming through as well.
Tufnell Park Canary 0 Posted July 27, 2004 I hope you lot are right about The Shack, but I think he''s got a long way to come before he is good enough for a regular birth in the starting 11. Still, I alwyas like it when players come through the youth team, you can''t beat it.
