Sheff Wed - D-Day for Roeder

Recommended Posts

There was rumblings in Roeders post match comments about taking Sibierski off to ''save him for saturday'' as he''d just come back from injury. This can be read as 1 of two ways, either Roeder stubbornly refusing to admit he got it wrong and Sibierski is s hit, or Roeder honestly saying he''s saving him for saturday! So we will find out saturday afternoon against Sheff Wed. If he starts with Sibierski and Lita he will finally prove he doesnt know what he''s doing. There''s simply no way in hell that a loan player can start ahead of a contracted player, when the form and impact on the team is so greatly different as we saw against Palace. In 45 mins Sibierski did absolutely nothing positive or even contributive, good or bad, there was simply no contribution, apart from winning one header on the edge of the box, which petered out for a goal kick. Hoolahan was involved in the 46th minute with a little flick that kept the move flowing, and of course the rest of his performance was superb.Look at it a different way at another club. Would an aging loan player, who hasnt really contributed anything, apart from a couple of goals, get in the side ahead of a Lampard or a Gerrard etc? In other words the respective clubs most talented player and one that could have the most impact on the way that team plays? The answer is definitly no.So why is it happening at Norwich City?Roeder, your jury is waiting.

Bottom line is Roeder will never admit he is wrong about anything. He is unlikely to drop a player who is costing the club an astronomical amount of money because that would be an admission of failure on his part.
