CanaryJames 0 Posted August 29, 2007 Why don''t we play this formation, instead of the classic 4-4-2? Marshall NEW CB Shackell Drury Ostemobor Lappin Brellier Russel Croft Huckerby CuretonSubs: Gilks, Dublin, Murray, Strihavka, Martin. This formation would mean Lappin and Ostemobor would have less defensive work to do, so they could attack more. We could really hurt teams with Croft and Ostemobor attacking down the right.Brellier or Russel could cover for the wing-backs when they''re going forward. Barry Brockes 160 Posted August 29, 2007 Traditionally, teams who get promoted from this league score an average of two goals a game across a whole season. With these players, where do you see our 90 odd goals coming from? Cureton 50, Huckerby 15 and the rest 25 between them (if we''re very lucky)?
NCFC_Chris 0 Posted August 29, 2007 i don''t think we''ve got the defenders to play 3 at the back, you need 2 fairly quick centre backs to flank a dominant centre back in order for it to work, otherwise strikers will run in down the channels causing all sorts of problems
