And the 34-year-old delivered his own in hisfirst game.Thorne may have been feeling a twinge from the thighstrain which forced him to miss Harrogate Town. But you wouldn''t haveknown as he attacked his opening 45 minutes with gusto.Having rattled off three shots in the first tenminutes, one being ruled out for offside, Thorne got off the mark justafter the half hour.Simon Johnson, a willing companion up front, whippedin a low cross and Thorne stretched out his left leg at the far post todivert it into the bottom corner via the hand of keeper Paul Cuss. The announcer mistakenly credited the scorer as"Peter Hall" but hopefully the Coca-Cola Football League Two will soonknow the name very well. The sharpness will come but this was a brightstart.
