canary cherub 1 Posted July 18, 2007 We''re allowed to loan up to three players for the season. Youngsters from Prem clubs have become much more difficult to get, and in any case I''m not sure if that''s what we really need at the moment. But hopefully we''ve learned over the past two seasons that if we don''t enlarge the squad we''ll end up forking out far more than we should on emergency short term loans to cover injuries. Personally I''m not in favour of Bowyer as a permanent signing but wouldn''t rule out a loan maybe leading to a permanent move if it works out OK.What do you think about season long loans, and who should we sign? blahblahblah 2 Posted July 19, 2007
What do you think about season long loans, and who should we sign?
Birmingham used the loan system to great effect last season with the loan signing of Bendtner and Larsson, eventually buying Larsson from Arsenal for a couple of million.Loans from the top 4 would give us access to top young players that we wouldn''t normally have a chance of signing. If any top 4 team has a couple of players available, I''d snap their arm off to get the players here.
