Smudger 0 Posted April 27, 2007 Brilliant stuff... Kevin Reeves being sold to finance the building of the South Stand amidst a backdrop of fans demonstarting against Sir Arthur South, Ken Brown taking charge, Martin O'' Neills goal against Liverpool in 1981, the game at Hilsborough in 1982 as City were promoted... fantastic stuff!!!Was great to see the few goals from Paul Walsh and Brian Stien for Luton, plus ricky Hill playing some great stuff for them in midfield again too...The Milk Cup Semi Final in 85''... Bruce''s goal and all is on next week!!!
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,221 Posted April 27, 2007 Smudge old mate I think you will find the money for Kevin Reeves was used to finance he building of the River End, I seem to remember for a while the new stand was referred to as the "Reeves Stand". Wish I had seen it as I was at the games you mention.

My mind must of gone a little hazy writing this as I did just after watching it last night and it bringing back many fond memories of my first few City games.Ken Brown... what a great bloke!!! I will always have fond memories of the days when he was in charge... A great manager who built the foundations for the many years of success that we had under himself, Stringer and Walker imo
