7rew 0 Posted January 2, 2007 Should we be trying to get in a few reasonable players or gamble one one really good one + less good ones.personally I feel the main player we need is:A Sitting Central MidfielderA LeaderA good free kick takerTurns up every matchsuch a player would strenghten us in many waysMidfield defensive workDefending set plays (practice against worth while free kicks)Attacking with set playsAttacking in general (stops our attacking players being fouled so much as defences are wary of conceeding free kicks and corners, unlike now)Of any player this type would have the biggest impact. would play him partnered by safri or etuhu in a 2 man centre mid, and use hughes as defensive cover. [/quote]tbh id sooner we got a ball winner in.. someone who gets stuck in and can "put it about" in the middle.. ok so he might get a red card or 2 a season... but if he stamps his authority on the game and scares 1 or 2 of the oppositions players then its got to be worth a go? also, its someone who can win the ball in the middle and make sure they come away with it. Say what u like abot Robbie Savage but id love a player like that in our team... when he wins the ball u know its been won!jas :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
