dazzling canary 0 Posted September 14, 2006 The ongoing and seriously frusterating subject of the "missing link" is doing my head in we need a target man! has anybody any ideas who we could get on loan? worthy seems to have a likeness for either Spurs reserves.Arsenal Reserves,Man Utd Reserves,or anyone who plays for Wales?? But i cant think of anyone who is available till xmas?? ps does anyone know if Luton signed Sam Parkin on loan or did they pay scum a fee??
Canary02 0 Posted September 14, 2006 They paid a small fee of £300kish.The only mooted names I like the sound of are a) Steve Brooker (freshly released from chokey), or b) Garry O''Connor (freshly thawed from playing in Moscow). We''d have to do loan with a view to a permanent in January for either though. Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted September 15, 2006 Its a right pain, we finally sort out the Right Wing Sit-u-a-tion and now we have target man situation.... 3 years later and what?? will we have our target man and no left winger.....
Canary02 0 Posted September 15, 2006 It is frustrating that City never seem to get the squad balance right. Historically (so I''m not blaming Worthington) it''s always been the same. How long did we go without a left-back before Drury arrived? Pre-Rivers there was a gap at right-wing for ages too. And who can forget the mid nineties when we played without a single midfielder who could pass the ball (Milligan, Grant, Carey. I''m feeling ill)
Getting off the fence 0 Posted September 15, 2006 I have heard wispers that Chris Sutton could be available on a pay-to-play deal. Anybody else heard this?
FilletTheFishWife . 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Really? What does that mean? p.s. Dean Ashton would make a good target man. Put a target on his back and I''ll show you how.
