yellow hammer 131 Posted May 16, 2006 I happened across the predictions made at the start of the season by the EDP experts. Interesting to note how close they were. - or not as it turns out.To be fair they were pretty good at the bottom of the table picking both Crewe and Brighton in the right order for the drop with Millwall either there or thereabouts. Richard Balls blotted his copybook however by selecting Watford as the third relegation candidate. Did Adrian upset him?At the top of the league all three experts were pretty dire to be honest. Balls managed to pick four out of the top six, but Leeds, Crystal Palace and Sheff Utd. were fairly safe bets. And how about the record-breaking Champions, Reading? Wise had them finishing the season in ninth, Balls in sixth, but Chris Lakey had the Champs way back in 12th place. All three picked City for an automatic promotion spot..... How will they go this time around?· Chris Wise: Norwich, Leeds; Wolves, Crystal Palace, Leicester, Sheffield United; Preston, Southampton, Reading, Ipswich, Hull, Coventry, Derby, QPR, Cardiff, Burnley, Watford, Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth, Millwall, Luton; Crewe, Stoke, Brighton.· Chris Lakey: Norwich, Crystal Palace; Sheffield United, Wolves, Leicester, Southampton; Ipswich, Leeds, Derby, Coventry, Preston, Reading, QPR, Hull, Burnley, Sheffield Wednesday, Stoke, Luton, Watford, Cardiff, Millwall; Crewe, Plymouth, Brighton.· Richard Balls: Crystal Palace, Norwich; Wolves, Leeds, Sheffield United, Reading; Derby, Ipswich, Preston, Southampton, Sheffield Wednesday, Leicester, Burnley, QPR, Hull, Cardiff, Coventry, Stoke, Millwall, Luton, Plymouth; Crewe, Watfdord, Brighton.Yellow Hammer

Jimaldinho 0 Posted May 16, 2006 Can''t really fault their predictions though. I would have thought at least two of the promoted teams would have gone up...but none of them did. I suppose now you can only but laugh at those predictions....look where they predicted Watford would finish.
