Divisions between the Fans

I have been a Norwich City fan for a number of years, and have travelled the length and breadth of the country (with a couple of European trips thrown in) watching my team. The division between the fans saddens me , not because people are dubbed as "KTF" or "WO" but more the fact that if you are in either of those camps your opinions are stamped on by those that disagree with your opinions. One of the great joys about football is that is about opinions, I do not think it wrong to want Worthy out, nor do I think it wrong to want to stick with Worthy out, there is nothing wrong with disagreeing with either opinion but to get personal about an opinion is out of order.

From a personal point of view I cannot wait to see the back of this season, 19 defeats (and hopefully no more) and not making the play offs (at least) is a failure, we have lost nearly as many games as those teams that have been relegated, thank goodness for our home form. There has been much made of the fact that the fans expectations are to high, what a load of piffle, in recent history (last 20 years or so) we have won the Milk Cup, been to two FA Cup semi-finals, played in the UEFA Cup and were founder members of The Premiership. A lot has also been made about the culture shock of returning to The Championship again just another excuse, how many of the current squad have played regularly in the Premiership, and it does not seem to have affected Crystal Palace. There has also been talk of the team needing time to gel, what a load of claptrap, Pompey have virtually a new team, that has been assembled very late on in the season, and they are making a decent fight of staying up when not so long ago they looked dead an buried.

Next season is the time for the excuses to stop and for actions to speak louder than words.
