ManchesterCanary 0 Posted February 25, 2006 Instead of going to London and Selhurst, out of curiosity I went to watch FC United up here today, the offspring club of disgruntled ''post Glazer'' Man Utd fans. They play in the ''Moore and Co Construction Solicitors league Division 2 ''(no less!). The gate was 3159 and the atmosphere was brilliant. Last week they took 4000 away supporters away to the game against Blackpool Mechanics (who?). Amazing dont you think? My point...supporters are the mainstay of any club, the most important voice of all, and if they are ignored, they walk! So make your point at the public meeting in St Andrews Hall. You will be heard!!
Branston Pickle 4,151 Posted February 25, 2006 FC United have had no real impact at all on Man U - their crowds/coffers haven''t suffered too much, but something like this could cripple a smaller club like Norwich; supporters could certainly have a real impact on things if they were organised and ''as one''. EadiesRight Foot 0 Posted February 25, 2006 Last time the forum was full of meek and mild yes men who didnt probe or challenge the club. When one person did, they were shouted down, and quickly covered up. I wont be able to make it (work committments unfortunately), but hopefully those disgruntled enough will be there to voice their whole hearted dissatisfaction, annoyance and anger at the way the club is going. gazzathegreat 0 Posted February 25, 2006 Interesting post Manchester Canary...A similar story to the Wimbeldon fans of a few years back. I shall be going to the St Andrews Hall meeting and will put my thoughts on here, as I guess many of us will to keep you updated of what happens.
