Something to celebrate...

Recommended Posts

It is now 5,000 days since we last lost to that lot down the A140. Even despite the state of chaos we're in at the moment, that's worth celebrating.

Thirteen-plus years, twelve matches.

Played 12, won 7, drawn 5, lost 0.

Scored 24, conceded 8.

And the crowning moment of them all, for me, was not the aggregate win in the play-offs, nor Holty's hat-trick at the Carra, nor 1p5wich. It was the moment they came sooooo close to beating us, and then this happened:

"...Bialkowski goes after it, Hanley gets there first... Bialkowski's out of his area, Hanley knocks it into the centre... a chance... OH, NORWICH HAVE EQUALISED! HOW AWFUL! AAAAAAOOOOOOW NAAAAAAOOOOOOOW! When are Ipswich Town ever gonna beat them?! It's Klose... Gunn has run the length of the field... oh, this is heartbreaking, there are fans on the pitch, Ipswich Town can't believe it... Bialkowski is crestfallen, look at Mick McCarthy's face on the monitor. It's Norwich City 1, Ipswich Town 1."

Might as well enjoy watching us beat them while we can as we if keep playing the way we are, they get promoted and we play them next season.. 😳
