SwearyCanary 1,179 Posted November 18, 2022 (edited) I heard Phil Vickery talking about how he thinks holding in Qatar could be a bit of an own goal for the government with the worlds press there able to shine a light on the things like censorship. He likened it to Argentina while in military dictatorship. You can bet that international press will be there looking for a scoop to report on other than football. I doubt the uk press will die to how much investment we get from Qatar and they’ll want not to be seen as against them, but the Danish media might be a good shout!
