yellow bird 0 Posted March 3, 2006 There is an interesting interview with Peter Taylor in today''s Independent:"I my first campaign as Under 21 manager I didn''t have too many wingers. I played with wing backs. Now, its obvious we should play with wide players. I''ve got some very exciting players who like to take people on, and I think thats a little bit to do with the academies.""I will eventually leave Hull, whether it''s this year or next year,....""I saw a fantastic documentary about Bobby Robson recently. I could listen to that man all day. And he was basically saying when the going gets tough as a manager, you have to get going. You can''t feel sorry for yourself, you have to be able to lift yourself as well as your players and if you can''t do that then you''re in the wrong game."Do we have a manager who supports our academy, plays with exciting wingers and lifts the team? Could Peter Taylor do a good job?
The Duke of Norfolk 0 Posted March 3, 2006 Yes, i would not be unhappy if he was to be our new manager. The only negative thing regarding Peter Taylor is his record in the transfer market. His transfer dealings at Leicester were questionable £5 million for Ade Akinbiyi, £1million or so for Trevor Benjaman, Junior Lewis.
Tom NCFC 0 Posted March 3, 2006 I''d much prefer Peter Taylor than Worthy! He''s made some good signings at Hull!
