The Duke of Norfolk 0 Posted March 4, 2006 for NW.We were terrible today, as were Stoke, a decent side would have beaten either of us comfortably.Worthington has got lucky today but with games to come against Leeds, Preston, Burnley and Cardiff away and home games against Sheffield Utd, Wolves and an improved Leicester still to come i have a feeling that the pressure will intensify again very soon and it will probably be unyeilding this time. FU MAN SHOE 0 Posted March 4, 2006 We lack the confidence to play passing football, it stands out a mile! On the club site it suggested that we were resorting to the long ball because it was the only way we could get past the five who Stoke were playing across the midfield...utter tosh. From where I was I saw several opportunities where a a promising set of passes found a nervous yellow shirt who ended up playing it back to the back line who either passed back to Greeno to hoof upfield or they resorted to that tactic themselves. The best chances came from quick passes through the midfield getting McKenzie and Hucks into interesting positions on the edge of the area. If we want to see somersaults from ''little Ern'' we have got to play confident passing football. If Deano could hardly cope with the long ball, how the heck will ''little Ern'' manage. Great goal Leon!
