How I Wrote Elastic Man 1,192 Posted February 20, 2022 Anyone got any good sports injury tales? Pity the poor Finn who suffered a worrying injury at The Winter Olympics 🤒
Wings of a Sparrow 1,425 Posted February 20, 2022 Not bizarre really, but... I recently took up walking rugby and in an early game I experienced an attack of cramp in my calf, something I had never experienced before. The pain was excruciating, like I'd been shot, and I went down like a sack of 5hit. I did actually accuse one of my fellow walkers of kicking me (what the **** did you do that for? if memory serves). That field is now known as sniper territory, and if any one goes down, the 'sniper' is blamed. Dang that was painful for a couple of weeks.

I had been playing Walking Football and to be honest, taking it too seriously on the pitch and have torn my Achilles Tendon. I am too old to have the op but the waiting list will probably be past my shuffle off date. So its physio only and that happened last September and I still limp. I would go in goal but I am not that stupid.
