Travelling to Southampton...

Recommended Posts

Howdy!

Anybody travelling to Southampton from the Brighton area?
Looking at trains and, the last one to Brighton is 22:33.

Does anyone remember how long it takes getting back after the match to Southampton Central?

Slightly concerned I'll miss the last train.

Used to live in Soton. That's a good 25 min walk back to the station. If the train stops at Woolston you will get yourself a few extra minutes. Roughly the same.distamce to walk but you are ahead of the train. Hope that helps.

I was thinking of going - I’m pretty sure I’ve done the trip after evening games before but the last train back to London now seems to be a rather early 2200…similar to Norwich, actually…but it gives no chance of getting it.

Yeah, I was thinking the same, I've done evening trips and made it back to Brighton on the direct train.
If it could just kick off at 7:30 would make it so much easier!
Night in Southampton then if I miss the train 🤣

They run buses from the station and back after the game. You have half an hour if you get out sharpish. You should get back to the station easily in that time.
