Just read that Abu Kamara was training alongside the first team during Dean Smith's opening sessions as City boss - might he be the next one off the production line?

I think striker remains a huge problem for us. We're far too reliant on Pukki and he doesnt have a huge number of strings to his bow. He tends to score the same kind of goal and if he's not on form he cant offer a different type of threat and what we have on the bench just doesnt compliment him.

Sargent I dont think we should think of as a striker - never been prolific and just doesnt strike me as a goalscorer. More of a Wilbraham. He's more effective on the wing, but he's certainly not a winger. Square peg in a round hole.

Idah, well, he has stagnated and doesnt seem to have improved from that hat-trick at Preston. Farke and co felt he was an option at PL level. Not for me.

I wonder if Kamara might be trusted enough to fill the Idah 88th minute substitute role and allow Idah a loan move to the Champ.

 

If we have any money though I think we need a splurge on a striker. We dont have anyone with pace or physicality to offer a plan B to Pukki. I know Rashica was acquired to fill that emergency striker option if needed. But a proper striker is needed I feel, even more than a DM.

I wonder if Hugill and Hernandez could be recalled?
