1. I have to admit that Leon has surprised me. I honestly didn''t rate him as anything more that a good championship player and thought he looked out of his depth up to Christmas. In recent weeks he has really looked the part and how many other strikers can say that they out-jumped John Terry to score a headed goal this season?
2.
only problem is it wasnt whiz it was navman..... anyhow, some good points there, interesting We need to keep Ashton as long as possible
Is that the sound of tumbleweed I hear?
3. Hear, Hear! Watching the game tonight I found myself willing Chelsea to do it, but admiring Liverpools ''Thou shall not pass'' defending. Jamie Carragher was superb - wonder if Flem was watching?
4. It''s a difficult one as I don''t think any of the players have had a consistently good season. My vote goes to Leon as he now looks twice the player he did in the first half of the season.
5. I''ve been a lurker on this board for some time now and after watching West Brom play Arsenal last night I felt it was time to register and make my first post. I for one could not believe the negative tactics employed by Robson in what was for them a must win game. To then hear him bleating in the press about ''no justice'' was laughable when I felt that he got the result his tactics deserved. Worthy seems to have been given stick in some quarters for his tactics at the weekend when but for 2 first class saves from Niemi we would have won the match. Had I been a West Brom fan I would have felt short changed after last night''s match and although Worthy has made mistakes, he has never sent out a team with a 5-5-0 formation in a must win home game.
