  1. You say that Russell & Llewellyn went backwards under Worthy, but is this really the case? Do you not think it may just be that they looked better players in Hamilton''s team because it was so poor in the first place? I believe the squad and team improved around them very quickly, thus leaving them looking exactly what they are - average players.
  2. As I understood it, the last day of the loans is 13 Dec, which would make Cardiff at home their last match.........
  3. Mulryne was on the bench - Clint Easton was nowhere to be seen! What game are you talking about?
  4. Thank you King Juan, I couldn''t agree more. Yes, everyone would love to see Huckerby stay permanently, along with Crouch and Harper, but in realistic terms, the only one of those three we can actually afford is probably Harper; and much as I am impressed with what he brings to the team, I am not entirely convinced we need him long term. So, instead of living in cloudcuckooland believing we can keep these players and go up, we should be turning our attention to possible alternatives. I think someone who fits the bill on both your counts above is Nick Chadwick of Everton, he is playing very very well for Everton''s reserves at the moment, and would almost undoubtedly be in their first team if it were not for the likes of Rooney, Radzinski, Ferguson, Campbell, Jeffers and now McFadden. He would be desperate for first team football and more importantly goals were he to come on loan, but I think we would stand a decent chance of getting him permanently for a reasonable fee (less than Hulse wnet for, for example). Add to that the fact he is not on huge wages at Goodison, and he could well be the answer........
  5. Broadland District Council car park on Thorpe Road is where i always park - okay, it means a 10 minute walk to the ground, but who minds that?
  6. Easy - out of business. Although we are a steady ship, with all the improvements in income you mentioned, the club are still expecting to lose over a million a year. I don''t mean to be alarmist, because this is not an unusaul situation, it''s just that our board, rightly so, refuse to allow the club to spend beyond it''s means. Where would you rather be, frustrated because we have money to spend on a striker and can''t get one, or frustrated because all your best players are being sold off (or given away) like the family silver? Just ask West Ham, Sunderland or Ipswich fans where they would rather be.........
  7. What concerns me most is the apparent willingness of the ''fans'' to blame Worthington for the failure to bring in a striker. As I understand it, all the offers and negotiations are not handled by him anyway - he just syas who he wants and what he thinks they are worth - the rest is done by Mr Doncaster and his team. And judging by this summer''s events, he still has a lot to learn on that front, as too often the club went public with a bid which the player''s current club didn''t even acknowledge........makes you wonder if he is actually doing ANY of this part right. After all, look at our signings, and Brennan was out of contract, Francis was a dealing with administrators, and Edworthy was a free agent - not one of those involved dealing with a club or agents directly.
  8. Perhaps the most worrying aspect of it all is that there appears to be a curse on our strikers of really bad, career threatening injuries; Darren Eadie (ok, not strictly a striker, but.....) Craig Bellamy Gaetano Giallanza Alex Notman Zema Abbey (twice) see what i mean?
  9. No, not that employed by the team, i''m rather hoping that the new forums will have less negativity in them! For all those who are genuinely unhappy about the situation at the club, please at least try to be constructive in your arguments! Here''s the first suggestion - remove Livermore, and replace him with Ian Crook.......
