  1. When Crofts first signed and we decided not to renew the contract of Darel Russell, the general line was "not an adequate replacement, crofts is league 1 at best and Russell has years left in him". If anything it has now become the opposite, Crofts is developing into one of the leagues best defensive midfielders and russell is on the decline at preston!

  3. Just watched the football league show and a couple of things I can make out about the incident: - He had the yellow card (+red) before he threw the ball - To say he threw it at the ref with any intent would be wrong, he was barely even looking at him. So i would imagine if he went and apologised afterwards, he should be okay. - This means it was not a straight red for the throw as I had heard many fans speculating on the walk from the ground. - So I cannot see any additional ban. - This means he will get a 1 match ban for a red with 2 yellows and annoyingly will still be on 4 yellows, but i can take that!
  4. This is just stupid. Both are excellent players, and both have a place in our squad. Yes Martin had a bad game against Hull, but no reason to drop him, and he is usually amazing or very quiet. As for Jackson, he showed today how good he is in the second half, getting around people, some good shots, we shall see how it plays out. Personally i would like to see Martin and Jackson together for maybe 20 or 30 minutes of a game!
  5. For the first 30 minutes of the Match today all we seemed to do was the long ball over and over again despite the fact it was completely failing. Why? When we moved forward on the ground we scored. What was the thinking behind this? It seemed that it was the game plan rather than a back up given we did it at the start of the match.

  7. Have you heard of Wikipedia? You could have found out all you need to know from there rather than make this pointless thread. They moved on, get over it.
  8. Obviously we have it at the start of every match, but it seems the amount we fans sing the song has gone down dramatically, i cant remember the last time it was sung at Carrow Road after the start of the match! Fans seems like they just want to sing bullsh*t songs now about the inter-stand rivalry.
  9. Any good? Would you like to see him lay for the City? Could be good backup, and had a lot of experience, so would be a useful tutor to Sim, Oli and Chris!
  10. How is it a stupid question? The guy who Norwich had but then sold, and is now playing in the Premiership vs the guy who we have got now.... Seems quite valid!
  11. One thing i have felt proud to say as a CIty fan over the last 10 years, is that we always get a very high attendance to all of our games... However the last 2 games have gone by, and we are currently not using about 2000 of the seats. Given how in demand Season Tickets and Tickets were last year, whats the matter this year? We are in a higher league. I heard someone say, we dont have the number of fans, thats complete crap we are the only biggish club in a 50 mile radius of Norwich! So they must be enough fans... Is it the pricing? Surely £2 more from last year is not too much to take... I would really like to know that most games are a sell out, i think it does well for the lads on gameday to know we have sold out!
  12. Nelson was excellent last season, but he is not strong enough for this league, if you took the time to watch the game, in all 3 he is falling very easily after contact, which we cant have because he will keep getting beat. His pace is also a problem, a few times he has been beaten, luckily on these occasions he has not been the last man. As for R. Martin, he is the worst defender i have seen play for city in a while, he is on a par with Doc in the Championship (who, I am sure most of you forget, was awful, just because of his good season in League 1 everyone thinks he was the best defender ever). If you observe during normal defensive play, when he should be keeping his line with the defence he consistently strays too far into the middle of the park, and when he does get out of position he never seems to have any urgency to get back... As for any of the new players, how can you give them ratings? We have played 3 games, wait until Christmas then give ratings, but not now! Shakey starts are very common for new players coming into a club!
  13. Just wondering what people think of Izale McLeod and whether he would be worth it for city to try and sign him, as he was released by Charlton. He seems like a could be a good backup striker, to provide good competition with oli and would be relatively cheap! There was speculation about us signing him 3 years ago, so no reason why he would be any worse now, from what i have seen of him he seems very good!
