1. The ''Annual Report'' covering the accounts year ended 31/5/07 included a ''wages & salaries'' note in the directors report in which it was stated that ''extra costs associated with the departure of Nigel Worthington were £600,000''. Add to this similar expenditure incurred with regard the ''departures'' of Grant & Roeder, and it is clear that around £1.5m has been spent on ''sacking'' managers over the past 2 or 3 years. Why the board would make Worthington a target when looking to replace Roeder is truly incredible! - but that is a different issue. The 2007 report also included confirmation that around half of the £14.5m wages/salaries cost was relevant to the 128 ''other'' (ie non-player) & 6 directors on the payroll. It also confirms that £2,435,942 was incurred ''on improvements to the stadium and surrounding area, including construction of a road and the fit out of offices''. Whilst the efforts of Foulger are to be admired, it is very clear that the current debt levels & lack of sufficient transfer funds are as a result of policy at boardroom level.

Do they genuinely think our biggest worry right now is the state of the pies at Carrow Road? They''re bragging like they''ve beaten us when we didn''t even enter lol. Morons.
Come on..... They are simply taking the p**s - just as we would in a reverse scenario!.
Seems strange that you scour the internet for any stories that are connected to Delia, picking even the most obscure to try to tar her reputation. The word "petty" comes to mind.
Firstly, I do not need to ''tar her reputation'' - she has done this more than adequately herself. This is perfectly clear when reviewing a growing number of negative media reports. It must be clear to anyone interested in football (& more specifically NCFC) and the world of food, that the woman can no longer be taken seriously. Secondly, "petty" - yes, perhaps - but I would rather replace it with ''relevant''.
Or perhaps add "childish", "vindictive" & "spiteful" You sad man.
What goes around, comes around!

 5.
DEB are you Gordon Ramsay?
No, I''m not - but I understand his contempt of the woman. I think this report lifted from the net is superb: ''Poor Delia Smith, 68 today. The iconic chef, whom many have seen as the shining, classic embodiment of the happy British kitchen for a generation, has caused such a catastrophic backlash with her TV series, "How To Cheat at Cooking," that she may never recover. Alas, Ms. Smith, who suggests using ready-made foods, such as frozen mashed potatoes and packaged grated cheese, has angered pretty much every member of the food police in Britain, from yuppie to medical charity. The campaign group Consensus Action of Salt and Health (CASH) has collected figures showing that Ms. Smith uses outrageous levels of salt in her recipes; her Carbonara Real Quick, with its bacon bits and lots of Pecorino, contains 7 grams per serving. The recommended daily salt intake is 6 grams. CASH accuses her of putting people''s health at risk with the recipes in this series — as if Delia is single-handedly going over to people''s houses and poisoning them, or forcing their hand at the stove. Some reports have even had her responsible for potentially "killing" people with her recipes. Heart Research UK warned that the recipes on "How To Cheat at Cooking" should be taken with a pinch of — well, not salt — and only used occasionally. The group''s lifestyle manager, Denis Armstrong, said: "It''s a shame that Delia hasn''t used her good reputation to encourage people to eat a healthier diet by demonstrating the many ways to make quick and easy meals, using healthy ingredients, without resorting to high salt, high fat foods." Evidently in these days of food-obsessed, organic-mad, locally sourced, environmentally crazed uprightness, Delia has done just about the worst thing possible. Sadly for Delia, as she approaches the age of 70 she seems to be pressing the self-destruct button. A review of media (in it''s many forms) results in an ever growing number of controversial cookery issues of which she is the root cause. Perhaps she should have entered retirement three years ago.''
 6. Next year the club should enter the ''pies with dangerously high salt levels'' contest. Smith would win it hands down!

 8.
Juan, I suggest you read the front page of the Pinkun. It clearly says EXTRA
Anyone who believes statements made by the remnants of Smith''s board of directors, is a fool.
 9. ''But the £359,304 they saved, doubled thanks to Foulger''s contribution, means Gunn will get nearly £720,000 extra to spend.'' OF COURSE HE WILL. WE ALL BELIEVE THIS - DON''T WE!?!?!?!?

 12. Lewie McDonald I''m lovin it!" = Can you provide us with a link? Please don''t - Mr Banana wouldn''t like it!
 13. Mr Banana will be going..........''bananas''..........at these links!
 14.
HOOLAHAN, is a key player, for our success next season, he is a match winner, he is a quality player, he is a player we must keep hold of!!! You may not like him, but then again your favourite player is probably stuart nelson!
NO
 15.
Just watching everybody criticise the club for considering the sale of Wes Hoolohan. In my opinion the sooner he goes the better, if we get 400k - 600k for him then we would have done well. In 35 appearances last year he scored 2 goals (in 37 shots) and made 3 assists.   If he is going to stay at Norwich I expect a hell of a lot more from him, and if he isnt going to want to be here then he is hardly going to pull his finger out of his brown tunnel. His record at Blackpool wasnt all that much better in the season before we signed him, he scored 5 goals in 46 games (in 61 shots) but still only made 5 assists. The only thing he bring to the team is an astonishing amount of free kicks that he wins the team, but unless we learn to utilise set pieces then I cant see what he really offers us anyway. People criticised Lee Croft for his crossing ability, but with 5 goals (in 25 shots) and 3 assists in 36 games, he was a lot more effective for our attack than Wes Hoolohan. There is absolutely no point whatsoever in having decent strikers at this club if we are going to have non creative wingers again. Oh and by the way, the ''past it'' Darren Huckerby made 7 assists and scored 5 goals (34 shots) in 36 appearances for us in his last season at Carrow Road (only a year ago guys). A much better record than his so called replacement and last seasons player of the year. Stop over rating Hoolohan, he is sub standard and his under performance last season puts just as much blame on him than any other player in the squad last year.
Couldn''t agree more. He improved his performance levels significantly in his last 6 or 8 games prior to picking up the injury, but before that he was a waste of space.

I am at a loss as to why some sections of our support suddenly think everything is rosy on the strength of the appointment of a new chief executive and the signing of a couple of players that may or may not cut the mustard when the real problems still remain. We still have no money and we still have people running the club who don''t have a clue what they''re doing, we may have a new chief executive who could well have a better idea of how to run a football club than Doncaster but he''s not a miracle worker. These new directors will hopefully bring some money as well as business acumen to the board but for me they will only be papering over the cracks and for as long as Smith and Jones remain involved I fail to see how the fanbase can be united again because there are far to many of us that have lost all faith in them because of the apalling state the club now finds itself in.
Spot on kdncfc... [Y] I told Mr Munby and Mr Doncaster this to their faces in front of a NCISA forum quite a few months back now. Mr Munby to his credit said that I may well have a point. It is obvious for anybody with an ounce of sense to see that Smith & Wynn Jones will not be forgiven by a large number of fans and that until they move on the club will not move forwards again.
Totally agree with KDNCFC & Smudger. Wouldn''t you think that ALL ''fans'' would have worked this out by now?! Anyone who cannot see that Smith''s reign of ownership has been a total disaster must be living in ''Cloud Cuckoo Land''. ''Cloud Cuckoo Land refers to an unrealistically idealistic state where everything is perfect. ("You''re living in Cloud-cuckoo-land.") It hints that the person referred to is naïve, unaware of reality or deranged in holding such an optimistic belief.'' Yet, some still don''t get! I find the statement issued by the Trust very odd indeed.

 18.
Why would Hartlepool fans be that bothered about him leaving?, after all he was part of a defence of a team that avoided relegation to league 2 by one point last season! - hardly solid
Only 2 other clubs in league 1 concede more goals than Hartlepool - but here''s the thing, it was in no part down to Nelson. He was on outstanding form, organising his defence & showing true leadership qualities. This almost rewarded him with a mega money move to become a standby centre-back at Leicester City when they tabled a massive £150,000 bid. Hartlepool turned the bid down, and this resulted in a mad scramble for Nelson''s signature at the end of the season!
 19.
Hoping to expose the board for yet more lies and deceit so that we can gather the momentum needed to force them out and get this great club back
Have they really lied & deceived us?, really? - how could lovely Smith do that. I simply cannot believe it. She saved the club you know.......................
 20.
The issuing of 18000 odd "begging" letters by Football Club Director Michael Foulger provides further confirmation of the pathetic mess that Mr & Mrs Michael Wynn-Jones have made in running their "little old Norwich City" Not since the Re-Election to the Football League, the Lord Mayor''s Appeal and the Blanket Collections of 1957 has our club been in such a shambolic state both on and off the pitch - an almost entirely asset stripped playing squad and a dire financial position involving debts of over £20M and rising This is despite the Custodians having had hitherto unprecedented levels of resources at their disposal i.e. Premiership Income, Parachute Payments, Share Receipts, Land Sales, Loan Monies, Legacy Funds, Season Ticket/Gate Receipts, Net Transfer Fees and Other Income including of course "Lots of lovely New Investment" as revealed at last years Royal Norfolk Show How this sorry state of affairs has been allowed to occur - one can but only speculate - has it actually been by design or has it been as a result of sheer incompetence? Either way - as a supporter and follower of the Canaries since the early 1950''s - I find it heartbreaking to see our once great club - reduced to a laughing stock- within the wider soccer public of East Anglia and beyond Regretfully - like Mr Gordon Brown and his Cabinet Colleagues in Government - Mr & Mrs Wynn-Jones and the remnants of the Norwich City Board of Directors - appear unashamedly determined to remain in power - despite overwhelming evidence of failure What a disaster and an utter disgrace
An excellent first post. I go with ''sheer incompetence''.
 21.
you are wasting your time DEB. He is obviously a fantastic player. A whole host of clubs were chasing him, apparently we even beat the mighty Scunthorpe for his sgnature. Must be because he realises that NCFC are really going places as a club.
Yes - we certainly are!

Delia Out, you would have done well in the Soviet Union under Stalin they used to rewrite history too!
Oh Dear, Oh Dear!
I love the rationale behind some people, to even question slightly the validity of an anti Delia rant means you are one of her biggest supporters and as such condemned. That sort of thing used to go on under Stalin too. For the record I don''t support Delia Smith''s running of this club and am deeply unhappy with the status quo, however i also relise that the Robert Chase era wasn''t some utopian dream where everything was great. Some people seem to see Robert Chase through rose tinted glasses. He shares part of the responsibility that the current board shoulder for the demise of NCFC. To suggest otherwise is as i stated re-writing history.
I get it - this is all tongue in cheek. Very funny.
