  1. If we go down then Seb Bassong still has to go, as does Whittaker and as does RVW Let''s hope our scouting team is searching desperately for new strikers as apart from Jerome we won''t have anyone?
  2. What is Alex Neil? Obviously made a massive impression coming in but to be fair we probably had the best squad in the Championship. For me he has clearly been unspectacular in the transfer market and maybe that''s naivety or inexperience but he really should of addressed the defence at the start of the season. To rely on Seb Bassong and Russell Martin at the heart of defence was clearly asking for trouble. Part of the reason for us being released the first time round was due to leaking goals and the defence remain unchanged - why? This was glaringly obvious to us as the fans. The second clear error was addressing our strike force and we have now got a Prem League strike force of Mbokani (loan), Jerome, Bamford (loan) and a Kyle Lafferty in exile yet who seems to have some impact and look lively when given any chance. Clearly our strike force not good enough. Benik Afobe should have arrived in Summer and now scoring regularly for Bournemouth. Andre Gray another striker we should of moved for and missed out on and the cost is dear. Transfers have been disappointing with Wisdom, Jarvis, Mulumbu anonymous at large. Small minded mentality or lack of ambition? I don''t buy lack of funds as we have sold well in Hooper, Grabban and Johnson and failed to use it wisely with what seems to be a lack of a strategy. I thought we had a football board?
  3. What is Alex Neil doing we need to clearly change it up and get Redmond and Bamford on! This is a disgrace
  4. On loan for rest of season Good signing
  5. Friend of mine is a letting agent and was showing a new tenant one of the flats opposite the ground. He claims a black Range Rover pulled up and he and another chap smartly dressed, maybe his agent got out of the car and were swiftly met by two employees at NCFC. Obviously on a free as without a club but maybe we are struggling. Squad filler?
  6. Our start prior to today? Time to get real yes we haven played well but fact is we haven''t played any of the big teams and have just 4 points to show and two games at home to Crystal Palace and Stoke. Sunderland perhaps a false dawn? Negatives are we lack pace, we lack a natural goal scorer but more importantly we have a woeful defence that has conceded three goals at home to Palace and three away at Southampton Brady aside we have barely strengthen on team which went down and yet even Chanpionship clubs are spending more than us. Even today Sheff Weds bid £10m for McCormack, Bristol City offering big money for Gayle and Gray, Middlesbrough £12m for Rhodes
  7. Time to take this Premier League business seriously and put the £15m in for Austin and take £6m for Grabban Jerome works hard but Paula Radcliffe could run around like a headless chicken as well
  8. Can''t defend for toffee yes he scores the odd goal and the lovers come out then but how many times do we concede goals down the left, poor poor right back and his time should be up. Him and Martin need replacing. Wisdom-Koulibaly-Bassong-Olsson
  9. Failing an audacious attempt to sign Charlie Austin who lets remember hasn''t had any club bid the £15m, wants a move to the Premier League and only earning £26,500 after being relegated and apparently is demanding £45k is Benik Afobe. He should be number one target. Young and hungry and apparently Arsene Wenger really rates this guy. Scores goals, can hold it up and has pace. Forget Destro, forget Gayle this is who we should be looking at. Our scouts really need to have their radar all on this guy. Possibly part exchange with some of our fringe players like Turner, Hooper or Lafferty and cash. Afobe, Hoolahan and Redmond would pull some trees down for sure and he would have resale value. This guy will be in the Premier League next year for sure.
  10. Charlie Austin forget the bigger clubs no one has come in for him. He is a proven scorer and if we can''t spend £15m and offer £45k wages (less than Lafferty and Van Wolfswinkle combined) then we may as well consign ourselves to relegation. Proven scorer at this level, exactly what we need and for me he would guarantee survival. With his relegation clause only earning £25k a week. He wants to be playing in Premiership and be perfect foil for likes of Redmond and Hoolahan. Only reason people are bulking at price is due to only having one year left on contract by for for me if he had two years left we would be looking at £20m+ player. We can spend near £9m on Ricky who was unproven, if we could down his resale value would still be significant. This is not unrealistic we just need ambition and not be little old Norwich all the time. People seem to think we can''t spend £20-£30m in a season but we can as the money is massive now. History tells us not to be slow such as Dean Ashton we waiting till Jan transfer window and it was too late in the game. Had it been Aug we would of stayed up.
  11. Surprised not many threads on him after Saturday''s performance. Apart from a good cross to Grabban he was woeful and at fault for first goal leaving Zaha to put away a tough chance. It was no mistake he changed flanks with Puncheon so early on. Sloppy in possession, cannot defend and Zaha was made to look like Lionel Messi. Our defence is so poor and i am dumbfounded we have added no striker and signed at least two more defenders. We have learned nothing since we come down. We were excellent at times on Saturday and midfield was superb particularly Hoolahan and Howson. Wisdom needs to start at right back for now and we need to sign someone like van Dijk.
  12. Avaliable for around £3m and linked with a move to Granada but may struggle with his £30k week wages One word bargain and no brainer. Get him and Van Dijk for £8m and be very happy with our business
  13. We are looking at established Prem league players so how about Demba Ba who wants to come back to England and linked with a move to West Brom. He was considering an offer from China. Fee will be no more than £6m and yes wages will be high but he''s proven and if wages are £60k a week for proven quality it makes sense. Again Michu as per the other thread for £4m would be a snip and ideal signing. Both he and Ba are tall, strong and good in the air suitable for our lone strike role: Defence is a massive concern and that''s why Van Dijk should be a priority and using Hooper as bait or even Lafferty. We could get all three for cash of around £15m and Hooper and we would definitely stay up
  14. Well thats a worry! Here''s to no points at Wigan on Saturday? What is McNally (Who should also leave, its not a crime to make a mistake but not to learn from it is!) doing? No doubt he will get some outrageous bonus for saying pie sales have gone up on match-days They are saying their ambitions of automatic promotion have not changed, well every week we are getting further and further away and close to relegation with less games coming. Adams clearly is not the man. Mike will only change so much while Adams still there as no one obviously respects him and he cant get anything from the games.
  15. He was paid enough when we went up to claim he was the messiah in appointing Lambert where is his accountability now? He can''t pick and choose his success and failures and we have had more of the latter, absolute disaster appointments since Lambert People said keep patient with Hughton and patience cost us and he is gonna make the same mistake twice. It''s not a crime to make an error but the crime is not learning from that error. Isn''t the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. A promotion title winning side does not lose 4-0 away to an inferior team, it either suggests a lost dressing room or tactical naivety or even both The appointment process was a force as was the whole director of football. So much for searching Europe
  16. Well that just sums up a lot of Norwich supporters, very constructive, very intellectual Buh! Seriosuly I thought half-term had ended?
  17. He has to go. He can only ride on the success of hiring Paul Lambert for so long. That is the only good decision he made. If he was as good as people make out then Celtic/Fulham both would not have let him go. He did not take us to the Premier League, it was Lambert and his genius on the field. McNally waited too long with Hughton to sack him, being too proud to admit his mistake and cost us Premier League status. Then he appointed Neil Adams with no experience after not winning any five games in his caretaker capacity. How many were dissapointed when he was announced? If he takes as long to admit his mistake a second time round then we will become the next Bolton, Birmingham. We have a golden opportuntity in a poor, poor league. Bouremouth are flying on a very mediocre team with players such as Surman that we deemed surplus to requirements. Adams signs three centre-backs in Cuellar, Miquel and Hoovield and yet plays Russell Martin at centre-back. None of them signings are good enough in other words and our best centre-back Sebastian Bassong is sent out loan to our rivals, where is the football/business logic in that. To be where we are with the players we have and the budget we have spent is unforgivable. We are stuck in a rut, with no momentum, Adams seems unsure what his best team is. Lafferty is the shadow of the player he has been for Northern Ireland and is played out of position. People will say its not McNally well ultimately he is, yes he needs approval but he was quick to replace Gunn and herald Lambert as his idea and his success, well not take accountability. If we are not quick, we''ll need a new 10 year plan and sink back into the dark days of financial instability.
  18. Surman is mid championship player, no end product and no pace Showpony worse than fozzy flick
  19. Vote of no confidence, yet again he has messed up
  20. Ludicrous appointment, no wins ever! We looked terrible, players out of position Surman offers nothing and he wants to give him a new contract
  21. So educated our fans? Do we really have that many fans unable to string a sentence together McNally sounds great at Celtic why did he join us in League One again? He has made more mistakes than good decisions imo
  22. That''s a naive post Mackay was not a defensive coach, people go one game at Carrow Road when he parked the bus People forget his brilliance at Watford and Cardiff when the football was a joy to watch Sherwood has massive contacts in the game and would have been massively connected to bring in up and coming players. He had best Tottenham point ratio of any Tottenham manager including Redknapp and AVB. He inherited a massively under achieving and resurrected Adebayor and gave youth a chance like Bentaleb and Kane? Not picking a team on high profile players like Soldado which Adams to be fair couldn''t do he still picked RVW even dropping Hooper for him after he scored against Liverpool
  23. Better Job than you but I won''t embarrass you
  24. Inspired response, what educated fans we have
