Looks like we are not going to cough up the 2 million for Ameobi and lose out to the scum of all teams. We all know how much Roeder rates Ameobi, but our board won''t back him with the money. This brings back memories of the Martin O''neil Dean Windass saga and how the board screwed up then!

But there are many clubs who will pay 2 million even though he only has 1 year left on contract. Thats why we are just a middle of the road team in this league. Having no ambition is what i call it!

Roeder is in the hunt for a new striker this summer and Paterson is on his list of possible targets. Paterson is fuming and after accusing the Iron of going back on their word, is demanding they let him move back into the Championship. Both official sites have said nothing yet! What i found interesting about the story today is they value Ameobi at 2 to 2.5 million and the person who wrote the story seems to think we are the favorites to get him still despite all the stories yesterday.

I see this as a great test, to see how much money we have. You are not getting my point. We are desperate for players, with so many players being released etc. And we don''t know exactly who Roeder''s targets are especially when Gunn comes out and says so and so is a target and then Roeder says he isn''t. But what i was trying to say is we here we our interested in a player and instead of lets put an offer in for him and get him down here, we wait, and wait, and wait! This is just a "ploy" by Birmingham to say to everyone that we will use Taylor if we don''t get a reasonable offer for him. In other words his price is still the same and you are not going to get him on the cheap!
