How long will it be before you protest and how will you go about it? e.g. website etc?

I asked when HE would protest, the same way as i would ask when smudger would protest or cluck would protest. It doesnt say Arthur my leader when do you want to lead us into protests. Please read my posts properly.
There is a general impression that Arthur is some kind of leader of this protest. I''m rapidly gaining the impression that you are becoming his official spokesperson judging by the amount of times you answer a question directed to Arthur!
Wayne didnt go to Arthur''s meeting though even though he asked him to organise one!!
No wrong city angel. No i couldnt make it in the end for reasons that are none of yours thank you very much. I asked if EVERYONE fancied meeting up for a pinkun users meeting so dont try to make out ive said something i havent. I didnt ask Artur to organise it, i asked if he could see if the landlord would lay on some grub.
 2.
I was just sitting her wondering.....Anyone think the board reads these?
Probably someone at the club has a browse then doomcaster lets go with a whole lot of spin.
 3.
Has anyone else noticed a similarity between Arthur''s posts and Cluck''s early posts?  Early on, and some of you may find this hard to believe, Cluck posted some very good points; well written, well argued and polite.  However, as soon as you challenged them, he became the slick politician, ignoring the points he didn''t want to hear and nit-picking out anything he could.  Having read through all 12 pages of this and the other thread put together, I see remarkable similarities. Arthur - I''m not saying that you and Cluck are one and the same person.  I would just really like to read what you have to say in response to many of the very well written questions that have been asked.  So far, I can find very little evidence that you have even attempted to do this.
here we go again. didnt you know that according to herb and jas im Arthur? Viva las vegas, 2 weeks away from this kind of crap
 4.

Im also jas the barclay king, lahblahblah, blainsey, evil monkey, yankee canary, should i continue? Although looking back my posts as jas the barclay king were predictabley pathetic i must admit.
I see you have decided to start insulting people now. Strange poster to pick on as I would have said Jas is one of the more open minded posters on this site and doesn''t strike me as a blinkered Delia is great type of fan.
Agreed, what the heck did Jas do? This Whittle bloke is more about wasting people''s time than anything else. Said it before. Wind up merchant, in my humble opinion.
Because your posts are so constructive and you have never tried to wind Arthur up have you herb. So now im Arthur, and a binner and people have the nerve to have a go at old man whittle when he replys to someone mocking his health. I and no-one else has any idea what private messages he has had. Oh sorry i forgot im Arthur according to you because i disagree with you or am i a binner today. Roll on las vegas tommorow and 2 weeks away from the idiot camp.
 5. Some intresting points by shack Arthur. I dont believe anyone loves Delia, i think its just a case of people are frightened of change and some have only been following the club with Delia in charge so knnow no different. Hope you feel better soon. Off to Las vegas for 2 weeks in the morning so roll out the dice and ill speak to you all in a fortnight.

 7.
Why don''t you just get your own website, or are you worried you''d be as lonely on there as you were at your meeting the other night.
How predicably pathetic. I called the meeting the other night not Arthur. Perhaps you are feeling lonely and are seeking some attention.
 8.

"Why are we so unattractive?" Well, in the case of this particular American it may have have been on a whim such as considering Southampton convenient for his family and friends to have trips back and forth on ocean liners while, in the future, he shows them "his" football club in games against Manchester United or Arsenal. Of course, I''m assuming he looked at docking facilities on the Norfolk Broads and decided it didn''t quite fit the picture in his mind.
Oh yeah of course. Obviously its more convinient to buy a club where you spend hours ferrying across the atlantic to. I mean its only a couple of hours by sea, thats nice and convienient for his family. More convienient than say getting on a plane and flying into a airport 3 times less time mate. Hmmm have they heard of aeroplanes in America Yankee? Im sure if hes got the kite for a club he can afford plane tickets, or perhaps thats too hard to understand my american pal? Regards anyhow
Wayne, you are obviously not schooled in the way things are done by the rich and famous ( although the famous bit is not necessary ). It''s quite common for such folks to indulge themselves by crossing the Atlantic on the Queen Mary 2, for example, and then fly back home to the States. Microsoft money ( at a level held by Paul Allen ) extends a long way for family and friends. A lot more appealing than sitting in the middle seats of coach in row 53 on a standard flight. A fourteen footer for 4 hours on the Broads out of Wroxham is fun too but it sounds like you and Smudger need to expand your horizons.
P.s. Please dont make smug assumptions about me as i find it offensive and dont wish to bring this thread down to your level. Cheers anyway
Wayne, you appear to be a relatively new poster on this forum. You only embarrass yourself by initiating sarcasm ( which you did without any provocation from me ) and then, when I respond by politely pointing out to you what some of the more reasonably affluent Americans choose to do on trans-Atlantic crossings, you call me smug and offensive and operating at a level below you. Perhaps you can try harder to elevate your behaviour on future postings.
I havent embarrassed myself. You accused me of not being schooled. You made a post claiming its more convienient to take a ship to southampton without adding the extra part untill i said a plane was easier. Maybe i shouldnt have been sarcastic but by reading some of your old posts its a trade you seem to have lived off.
 9.

Hope you get better mate. Like others i think this thread still has not been answered yet but i noticed a thread by BLAHBLAHBLAH yesterday more or less insisting on part 2 and generally mocking you for not doing so, so fair play and get well soon.
Sorry you haven''t been well Arthur, I hope that your illness is not serious and that you''re back to form soon. The reason for my post, albeit in an attempted humourous style, was that if you expect people to follow you in a protest to create change, you need to have an idea of what that change should look like, and be able to express that idea to others.  I also do not see why this thread imposes on any ideas for change you might have, so I see no harm in running the threads together. So far, you''ve put together a list of your grievances with the board, and listened (if not answered) to counter-argument. You have said "This is Wrong", but you haven''t said "This is wrong, and this is how I would make it better".  It would take more than a few hundred people protesting against the board to enforce their removal.  They are directors of a public limited company, with shares that are worth several million.  In other words, you would need serious financial backing, or serious drops in attendances and large protests.  Unless we really struggle next season, I can''t see either happening. I would also argue (as others have) that with new faces and money on the board, now is certainly not the time for protest.  A lot of fans are feeling positive about the club at the moment, deadwood has been cleared (something which would have happened quicker if it wasn''t for transfer windows), a new manager is making his mark and building his team.  We are being linked with young players with something to prove, rather than players happy to pick up a wage, with less ambition and no real feeling for or affiliation to the club. Personally, I would like to see an elected season ticket holder on the board, as doing this would give supporters a greater feeling that their views were being listened to.  If you felt the board were listening to you, wou wouldn''t want to organise a protest after all. Finally, a couple of names for you.  Ken Bates. Peter Ridsdale.  Do you really think that Delia Smith and Micheal Wynn-Jones are as bad ?
Has Arthur gone on record as saying he is leader of  a protest? I thought he was just speaking his mind? Arthur "lets be avin you" as the pro Delias would be proud to say. { personally i cringe even typing it}
 10.

Okay, here goes: What makes YOU sure, that a takeover possibility by the Turners, or the same arrangement now, would be worse than having a foreign investor inject 30 million, then bugg** off in 5 years? And Also.. D''you want a new board purely for financial reasons? Ambition? What are you looking for in a new board?
What proof is there that they would b~gger off in 5 years? Silly question, all ifs and buts. Arthur i have a question. How long will it be before you protest and how will you go about it? e.g. website etc?
Its a case of seeing how things develop wayne. If protests do happen there are a couple of volunteers who are willing to print litreture and a couple who would potentially run a website but that is all in the early stages at the momenet.
OK. Cheers. Hope the hospital thing went alright.
 11.

sheded I have agreed with many things you have said, but I cannot and will not ever agree that Hucks should play for England. I wasn''t aware that Cov went 14 games unbeaten, but I am grea friends with a director of the sky blues who is a Hucks fan. He says that they were poor then (and even worse now) and that Hucks was a good player in a poor team - sound familiar? Look where they ended up? I would like to have seen anyone solve the ''problem left side'' for England, be it Hucks, or anyone. Personally I think Hucks has wasted his talent and could''ve been a real top class premiership player had he really wanted to... I don''t know that for real as only he can answer that. Thanks for the debate, I just wish you could''ve been more open to other people''s thoughts and views. Come on you yellows
Well , in the season Cov went on a 14 match  unbeaten run  , they also reached  the semi finals of the FA cup  , so , at that time they had to have been a pretty good team !   it all started to go tits up when strachan started selling  his best players  ( inc Hucks  ) . On the subject  of being a good player in a poor team ........     just  how can a good player  play well , when the rest of the team are crap ?    this is what sticks in my craw  when Hucks is dubbed " inconsistant "   by some on this board !    how good would the likes of Becks  or  Rooney et al  be if they were  in the team we`ve had for the last 3 seasons ? I , too , think that Hucks  talent has been wasted !   I don`t really believe  that  HE  wasted his talent  , so much as that   the " establishment   , and the managers , couldn`t get to grips with Hucks style and ability  !    having said that ,  Hucks has never really been   a big head  , and has tended to be far too content with his lot  ( luckily for Norwich ! )   , guess  he`s  not done too badly here , and maybe  he`s chosen  whats good for him and his family  ...... I`m not at all closed minded to others opinions !     as long as they   agree with me ( only a joke )   ,  but I do tend   toward  being , shall I say ,  slightly   emphatic ,  LOL     , I blame Wiz  .... he`s a bad influence   [:P] On a positive note  , next season  is Hucks last   , and if Grant gets a grip , and forms a half decent team  ,  I think we`ll be near the top   early next year !    and I`ve put a score on us  getting promoted  with Betfair  .....    [:$]
Just browsed the net and coventry have NOT reached a fa cup semi final since 1987.
 12.

OMG - you''re not seriosly comparing Hucks to Becks are you? For a start, DB chases back, can take a mean free-kick, whip in a good cross, control a game.......bored now ZZZzzzzzzzzz
Are you commenting on my post ?  if so , you should try to comprehend  what I wrote , dozy arse !   I merely mentioned Beckhams age  compared to Hucks  , NOT  that he`s a replacement   for Becks .....  can  you actually grasp that ?    and , yes , I actually believe Hucks can do the business for England , apparently you , and other  posters   , STILL can`t  understand   that   WITHOUT  him  , this club would be  playing Forest next season !    for the last 3 seasons he`s had to  put up with  a ragbag of misfits and losers  as team mates ,   do you REALLY need to be reminded   that if Beckham  was put in the same situation  , he would get  bleedin  NOWHERE   !  Hucks has been nominated as player of the year  !   now how come he got that  award  ?   some nitwit  whinged  that he was " inconsistant "   , I got news for YOU !   its most of his team mates  who displayed  THAT  trait   ..... !!   God help you if he gets injured next season ....  [:''(]
Robert Green{ vs coluimbia }Dave Nugent{preston} and Andy Johnson {while at palace}, possible others who played at this level have played for England. If your good enough you play, if Hucks was good enough for england im sure more clubs than Celtic like another guy says would have come in for him and even the press {yes the evil press} would have brought the issue up. Ill say it again. Big fish little pond.
 13. 3 seasons at coventry not several. 96/97 25 games-5 goals 97/98 34 games-14 goals 98/99 34 games-9 goals moved to leeds 3 goals in 46 games for leeds -big club at the time   moved to man city championship- 40 games 20 goals premiership-16 games 1 goal premiership for norwich-37 games 6 goals Sticks his head down and runs at defenders his pace his scarey, his crossing is average, his dribbling is decent at this level but past it at premiership level. Played as striker at coventry and striker & sometimes winger for leeds Amazing what you find out on the internet.

 17.
Ok - I do seem to have been wrong about the date - However I don''t beleive that I was wrong about the content - she certaily said my version at some point, but it may not be that same occaision and I really can''t remember when. I found the Man U quote: “It was just amazing seeing van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo and Rooney running towards you,” she said. “You thought ''Wow!'' – but little Norwich stopped them. It was pretty good!" http://new.pinkun.com/ I think this is a comment on the prevailing view of us that the media had at the time - rather than her view on the club. This I feel is backed up by her next statement: “This is a good day for football. It''s good to see that sometimes the teams without the money, without the clout, can come out on top. We got two goals and a clean sheet against Manchester United – and that''s bloody brilliant. Am I allowed to say that on television?”
Not the only time she has labbeled us "little".
 18. Sorry I didnt make it saturday Arthur, hope it went well. I remember that interview and believe it was after either a decent draw or win when we were a few points adrift and MILLO is more or less right in his version. Why dont people prove MILLO wrong? Why is always the ones not happy with the board having to provide proof  like some murder trial yet we have to take the Delia fan clubs word as said?
 19.
Well  Beckhams  older than Hucks   !   and from what I`ve seen of the England team  ( predictable and plodding ! )    they need somebody like Hucks  to provide  something  different  !   whatever  the scoffers come up with , the fact remains that if he had  GOOD players around him , he would have a ball .... literally !     Unfortunately  ,   he`s not , " fashionable " like Becks  [:(]  the FA is notable for lack of imagination   , and for scratching the backs  of prem  club directors  ! A pox on their houses !!
Lets see, Hucks not good enough for Newcastle, Man City, Leeds but good enough for England? Sorry i think hes our best player but im not in a daydream. Hes good at this level, average at premiership standard at best. Big fish little pond anyone?

 21.
Wayne, regardless of everything else, you can''t can''t class a ''true fan'' as someone who watched the club in the late 80''s earlyu 90''s. There are some ''true fans'' around that were not old enough to go then, regardless of the many other reasons.
True not all norwich fans were alive during this era but thats not an explaination for why an extra 8-10,000 have popped up. Arthurs reasons are valid. Before Skinner and Baddiel and fantasy football league and all that jargon gates were down.  I recall going to old trafford and the gate was 28,000 and for the home game man u didnt even have the corner in the barclay opened up{ older fans will know what im on about}they just had the 1 away section{ to explain away fans had 2 sections and both were opened if the away support turned up in large numbers. Spurs and liverpool were the only ones that season to do so.  Its not just norwich, its everywhere. Its all face paint and horns these days and the atmosphere has suffered.
 22.
Wayne - to be pefectly honest that kind of thing happens on both sides of the arguement. If you don''t spot this you''re a big ninny. [:P]
You have just given another perfect example. Im a "ninny" for not agrreeing with you? Couldnt make it up.
 23.
John Obi-Mikels transfer from Norway to Chelski.. typical example of a bidding war between them and Man Utd. our own sale of Dean ashton to Wet sham.. Man City and Newcastle both offered around 5 muillion pounds, this was made public Knowledge, before the (un)Appy ammers came in with a higher bid, Man City then apprently increased their bid so the sham came in with the 7.5 million bid. whats that then wiz? jas :)
No sorry but you are wrong. John Obi mikel signed a pre contract deal for man utd from Lyn oslo. He then changed his mind and decided he wanted to join chelsea. After a uefa meeting it was decided that chelsea HAD to pay lyn oslo the 4m they had agreed with man utd, then chelsea had to buy the player from man utd for 12m. Dean ashtons case-You have some points right where clubs were RUMOURED to have made bids but if you remember Norwich came out and said they would only sell for at least 7m. They also claimed Dean was injured against west ham in the cup and no bids had been accepted, yet it later transpired that west ham HAD, had a bid accepted and insisted on him not being cuptied-yet Dean gets blamed and the board got away with diverting the blame onto dean, when in fact THEY put the price on his head. {would you leave your job for better money and more career prospects-i think you would-blame the board not ashton} I accept your thanks for correcting this issue.
 24. Apart from Herbs predictable and boring "yawn" comment this is by far the best potentially constructive thread on the board. Cheers Arthur, Shack etc for regaining my faith that not all norwich fans are strereotype fools. I have to say both Arthur and Shack Attack make rfair points but im going with Arthur again on this one. He makes a very good point that we shouldnt be little old Norwich with a catchment area of 500,000 although Shack argues very well against. May this sort of debate continue. Arthurs P.S. comments are very true and i bieve spot on. How many true fans on this board watched the games when we were a top flight team in the 80s/early 90s getting 12-18000 for home games? Football HAS become a fashion.
